Gourdans St Clements invites you to enjoy our carefully selected range of speciality steaks, matured in house served with allumettes frites, complimented with a range of house sauces. Established and serving Steak Frites since 2015 locally in Oxford and around the UK, our expanded menu offers well sourced produce to create classic dishes inspired by our love of food. Daily baked bread and day boat fish from the south coast, can be enjoyed with a variety of plant-based plates of European influence, prepared on hot coals to provide a subtle and distinctive flavour. Our small but punchy wine list has a great selection encompassing some great old-world makers as well as showcasing some that are far less known, all served by the glass, so you don’t have to buy a whole bottle to try them. Presented in a warm and inviting environment to provide a unique, comfortable dining experience. Book a table or choose either the takeaway & delivery options available.

After we were sat down we ordered drinks. Ten minutes later a group of six is sat at the next table. I watched a different server take their order and promptly return with their drinks while we still had not received our drinks. This is basically how the whole meal went. The other table received all of their courses before us yet we ordered everything way before them. I found it very strange to the point that I was worried our food order was never sent to the kitchen. Eventually we received our starters and mains well after the other table. The food was excellent and this is why I would recommend this restaurant. I'm willing to give the benefit of doubt for our server and what happened during our meal was an anomaly.

Visiting Oxford with a small group of close friends on a Saturday, we wanted to dine at a steak restaurant that was unpretentious and offered excellent food with great service - we found all that and more at Gourdans. The specials board was particularly attractive, with the Cote de Boeuf standing out in particular. We ordered one of these to share, as well as a couple of large sirloins. The presentation and quality of the meat was absolutely fantastic, and is truly testament to the dedication of the owners. The service was friendly and attentive, and we felt we'd all chosen very well indeed. Highly recommended, and only a 10-15 minute stroll from the centre of Oxford.

We’ve visited here twice now, and once again it was perfect. The staff are very friendly and tentative and the food is cooked to absolute perfection. Will definitely be returning again soon.

Great ambience, really friendly and helpful team working there… and the porterhouse steak (rare) was sensational!

What a great little restaurant. Outstanding 870g TBone sharing steak. Beautifully cooked in coal oven. Very relaxed. Took my son. Loved it
