We had a wonderful experience at Grotto last evening. Our ceasar salad and pasta dishes were amazing. Not too salty and a good portion size. We also enjoyed the magician coming to our table. Our waiter Patrick was very attentive and friendly. Only one hiccup that he forgot my wine at dinner but that’s okay I didn’t need it lol. I would have also loved to try the tiramisu but it was sold out! We will definitely be back because we had a great time!

Another great meal at the Grotto. New menu had great options. Drinks were good as well. Definitely a go to for unique Italian dishes in Thunder Bay.

Was my first time going to this restaurant and it was amazing. From the Wednesday entertainment to the atmosphere, food, dessert and special after supper tea drink. I will definitely be back in the future the only negative comments would be the limited parking for the restaurant which the restaurant has no control of.

I ordered a small Caesar salad and Eggplant Parmigiana. I was disappointed. The salad was a little boring. I'm used to tasting the bite of Dijon mustard, a noticeable amount of garlic, and a subtle hint of anchovy. This salad did not deliver. The Eggplant Parmigiana was served with asparagus, squash and risotto. The disappointing part was being served only one piece of Eggplant, which was flavorful, but the breading seemed to have dissolved in the marinara sauce. The remaining 3/4 of my plate was filled with risotto, which was prepared well but needed seasoning. I was expecting, at minimum, 2 pieces of eggplant. The dish should be renamed Risotto with eggplant and seasonal vegetables.

Great food. We had the pork bellies and the fettuccine….. so good. Definitely going back for more.
