Handshake Bar is spread across two levels, each offering a selection of our most iconic cocktails. Both spaces provide a warm and intimate atmosphere. One level is slightly more spacious to better accommodate our guests’ needs.

Reservation Duration:
Each reservation has a duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes, allowing you to enjoy our cocktails and unique ambiance.

Reservation Policies:
The maximum number of guests per reservation is six. For groups of five or more, a credit card is required as a guarantee. This process must be arranged via email and is completed through a secure link sent directly by OpenTable.

Multiple bookings or combining tables from separate reservations is not allowed. We offer a 15-minute grace period; after that, the reservation will be marked as a no-show.

Leckere Drinks, man hat aber nur 90 Minuten Zeit und wird dann rausgeworfen. Ist verständlich bei einer so kleinen und exklusiven Bar, aber wirklich schade, wir wären noch länger geblieben!

It was so incredibly curated and the staff was so kind and explained every aspect of the drinks. This is something that is a can’t miss and we definitely want to come back.

First time visiting, however I felt it was a bit pretentious and over hyped. I wasn't aware that you would be herded into a the upstairs area without being asked if you prefer to go downstairs. I had to inquire about it. First I was seated upstairs and kept hearing the Bienvinedos greeting every time for people walking in. I mean it's a bit annoying when every bartender is required to express this phrase during your time there. The bartender I was seated in front of basically ignored me while chatting up a single female customer. It was not the impression I had in mind. He acted obliged at times because it was his job, not because he enjoyed bantering with me in particular. His name was Alex. I kept asking if I could go to the upstairs part to see the vibe and he didn't give me an answer, I had to asked a passing by waiter. He informed me that it was up to the host on gaining access to this area and then her corrected me by saying that I meant downstairs not upstairs. So, unless you didn't know this, the upstairs is ground level, the downstairs is below street level. Ok, I decided to pay my bill and have a talk with the host. Alex seemed a little perplexed as I left my seat. Th host checked with a young lady who obliged me. The downstairs area had a good vibe and it was bigger. Also, I noticed that the menu offerings were different, more creative. Definitely not the same menu upstairs. I feel they should unify this and not give people in the ground level area the courtesy of picking items off the same drink menu. The bartenders downstairs were busy but nicer and more attentive. I forget the one guys name, but he was at the far left side where I was seated and spoke excellent no accent English. Although, I can speak both English and Spanish. Better vibe, better layout and cool music

Incredible! The cocktails were simply incredible. Service & attention was top tier! Complex flavors that you wouldn't expect. These are mixologist that know what they're doing

Amazing atmosphere and very kind staff! The cocktails were super delicious, although it was mainly ice. Super intimate setting and overall an amazing experience.

If there’s any place to add to your CDMX trip itinerary, it is this venue. It is truly a unique experience that completely validates why they are #1 on the top 100 bars of the world. They craft tequila and mezcal cocktails in a form that you will not taste anywhere else. It is a true speakeasy as well that makes you feel you transported back to the prohibition era. 10/10
