From beginning to end, we were looked after superbly by staff, and enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes and cocktails. The stand out was the "black swan" dumplings, filled with wagu beef and a delicious sauce. It was our wedding anniversary and we were delighted to receive a complimentary dessert to help top off a brilliant meal. Highly recommend this establishment.

Very good Chinese restaurant. Beautiful interiors, great fresh meals, friendly service. It is on the more pricey side but worth it especially for a special occasion.

Best Chinese dining experience in Newcastle! Finally we have a restaurant dishing up the sort of food and experience found usually only in Sydney and Melbourne. Succulent Peking duck, a large tastefully decorated space, attentive staff and just the right atmosphere for a couple or larger group. I have eaten here twice and loved it both times.

Very high standard Chinese cuisine The beef cubes with marinated mushroom was outstanding..the meat melted in ones mouth The staff are very friendly and very professional. Service was quick and plates brought out in time. Will definately dinner there again

The restaurant is just honestly beautiful, the food is possibly the best I've had at any restaurant in a long time. The service was so friendly and felt welcoming; it was an lovely atmosphere with not only the decor but just the personalities of the staff.

We love Hao Chis, we dine here monthly, be it with family, friends or just as a couple. I can say the food is always 5 stars, however, tonight the service was a bit of a let down. Entrees were ordered first, a few came out and then the mains came out, the rest of the entrees came with the mains, and that's just not how it should be done. The drinks service was super slow, and I mean super slow! We spent well over $700 tonight and the service was lacking.

Best Newcastle dining experience in a long time! From our welcome at the door by Hao Chi's outstanding Floor Manager, the attentiveness and professionalism of the wait staff and the lovely decor of this restaurant, our night was one to remember. Our group of 8 selected the $80 per person banquet (min 6 guests required) and were absolutely delighted with each generously proportioned and exquisitely-presented course. From crab dumplings with caviar to duck pancakes to pork belly to an excellent wagyu beef dish to a chicken & cashew stir-fry to the best-ever eggplant (yum!) to an impressively presented sweet & sour whole barramundi and more, ending with a palate-cleansing mango & tapioca dessert .... we were treated to a sumptuous feast in a room full of character. The restaurant is spacious, well-lit and, unlike many similar venues, we could actually hear ourselves talk. Well done to the front of house team and the fantastic kitchen crew. Highly recommend!
