Afternoon Tea at the Harbour Loft on St Michael’s Mount is the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion or complete a visit to this enchanting island. Head Chef Greg Milne has created a menu inspired by fresh Cornish produce to be enjoyed on our unique island setting, with sea views north and the backdrop of the castle to the south.

Precisely-cut sandwiches are accompanied by freshly-baked cakes and pastries; while traditional treats boast creative twists. Choose from an extensive selection of Tregothnan tea or add a little fizz with a glass of sparkling wine, produced in a Cornish vineyard just a stone’s throw from the Mount.

    The staff were excellent and the room light and airy. The problem came with the afternoon tea being a coeliac and a vegan not great. They tried their best but the scones were like uncooked bullets. They took £9 off and I should have challenged them more but the staff were lovely. £37.50 not value for money husband enjoyed his feast. Excellent tea

    I would like to offer a sincere thanks and congratulations for the amazing food we had today our afternoon tea. It was totally utterly gorgeous. Service was wonderful too!

    Afternoon Tea was just the experience we needed after a strenuous climb to the castle of St Michael’s Mount. Beautiful pastries.

    Stunning Afternoon Tea. The sandwiches were very creative, the Savouries were exceptional and the scones perfection.

    Went for the afternoon tea; the sandwiches were delicious, the desserts were, in our opinion, not very nice. The scones, cream and jam were nice but all in all we found the £37.50pp price tag excessive for what we got. The staff were fab, smiley, attentive and helpful. Although full, the restaurant lacked any buzz of atmosphere.

    I was disappointed with the quality of the gluten-free sweet treats, e.g. cakes were extremely small and the scone (one) certainly wasn’t home-made. It was chilled and dry. My husband had lovely warm home-made scones which he enjoyed but one of his cakes was a shop bought Madeleine that had been decorated. Very disappointing and by the time we paid for parking and the return boat fare, it was almost as much as Clarridges but not a patch on the quality or experience. Very disappointed. I would certainly not recommend.
