Absolutely amazing food, atmosphere and staff. Did the tasting menu and every plate was delicious. Can’t fault anything about the restaurant! Can’t wait to go back!
I am a big foodie who travels all over the world to visit my favourite dining experience spots. But this restaurant is by far my favourite. It is relaxed with an ambience created by staff that make you feel at home. Beautiful interior. The best service. And never has let me down with flavour. My favourite Dublin restaurant!
Always a pleasure to dine at Host - introduced a friend to the restaurant and they loved it - warm welcome, no fuss service and really good food - deserves to be as popular as it is - booked again with another visitor so will be back
It was absolutely freezing where we were sitting. It was 6 degrees outside and the door
Great food - amongst best in dublin . Flavour, flavour flavour. Brilliant friendly service from all the staff. Gave 4 stars for value for money as it ends up not being cheap for a casual place but the food is just so much better and more delicious than so many places with more formal service . We had good wine which does bring the bill up and I think what drives prices higher is the location in Ranelagh . Love Host.
Easily becoming one of my favourite Dublin restaurants... Best price-quality value I've seen, wonderful service, and you'll think about the food for days! Highly recommend.
Excellent food and service, can’t wait to go back
Great dinner - best chips in Dublin
Great evening. Lovely food and wine in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Birthday dinner- overall everything the buzz is and more but there was a bit of a lapse in service and we had about a 25 minute wait for our main
High quality food, served by professional, polite and welcoming staff. A very pleasant evening.
Another great meal & evening at Host, we have yet to be disappointed, can't for our next visit!
Consistently great. Never had a bad meal here. We eat here for birthdays, anniversaries and special occasional. Always a winner
Amazing chefs menu...food is delicious and brilliant value
Incredible food, great atmosphere, super service. Only minor complaint would be that it’s really cold at the tables next to the door so if possible request to be seated away from the door.
Had a gorgeous meal here and would highly recommend it. Went for the chefs menu which provides a great selection of the menu. The outstanding dish for me was the burrata...so creamy and the pistachio really added another level of flavour and texture to the cheese and tomatos.
The pasta dishes were excellent and loved the texture of the pasta, perfectly coo ked.
My only issue was our rib eye was slightly overcooked.
Overall food was great and the waitress recommended a lovely bottle of red.
Also found it to be great value for money.
Slight issue with the restaurant in itself that it got quite cold as the evening went on.
Host will be high on the list for a return visit
Excellent food good value. Like many restaurants very pushy with water & wine (filling half full glassses ...) which is annoying. Need to hang something on walls to absorb noise. Despite this great experience.
Great food, great friendly service but a very noisy room.
Fabulous food, wine and ambiance. Menu changes regularly, with something for everyone. Could not recommend HOST more.
Excellent experience in Host, my favourite restaurant in Dublin, it never disappoints. Food is remarkably flavoursome and creative, lovely buzzy atmosphere, I love the minimalist but interesting decor. The pasta is
a firm favourite, apparently made every day on site, definitely try the pumpkin pasta dish. Staff always helpful and good to make recommendations. Will be back again as soon as possible.
Super lunch, yet again. Bit noisy for chatting. Prefer the standard seating to the high ones
Nice decor with space. Went for the chef's menu, each course of which was excellent and well presented. Great selection of wines.
Would recommend and will return.
Exceptional food in a great atmosphere! We had the chefs menu and were sitting in the window seats. Definitely one to return to
It’s my favourite local restaurant. It’s consistent and the food is sublime
I love this restaurant. Food is amazing, very relaxed atmosphere. I would highly recommend it . Looking forward to eating there again very soon .
The food was to die for! The service was excellent too. I will definitely be back again 😊
One of my favorite places in Dublin: small, cozy great for both dates, meetups with friends and family, excellent service and excellent food!
Love this restaurant, AMAZING steak! Can’t wait to go back x
Excellent food service
Great night out
The.food is as always amazing. Beautiful wines to go with it . We can’t get enough of Host . It’s by far our favourite restaurant in Ireland.
Excellent except for the level of noise which made it almost impossible to chat..
Good ingredients, fine cooking but quite expensive for what you get.
We had a piece of fish which was served on a large side plate for €25 with just a smidgen of buttermilk potato (literally a teaspoon or two) so you had to buy a side order for €5. The fish was beautiful. But that’s about €4 worth of fish and about 50p of potato in the fried potatoes for a spend of €30.
The duck ragu was well-made and well-flavoured but again it came on a largish side plate, the pasta was fresh but it’s not an expensive thing to make and the duck ragu was a bit over-stewed. It was €17.
Wines by the glass start at €7 but they were mostly Italian with one Spanish, so if you find Italian wines unreliable you have no choice but to go for a glass at €8.50 or €10 which we did - neither justified the price. We went for a late tea thinking it served small plates on a Sunday night, but when we asked about the steak which was €43, we were told it was for one person but they would allow us to share it between two (!!!)- you have to buy potatoes or a side vegetable on top which brings it to €48 for a 450g steak. Given that even the best steak from Higgins butchers at €35 a kilo would make a 450g steak about €16-€17 retail it represents a huge markup.
The service was exceptional but you did feel that somebody was constantly patrolling the restaurant to check on diners. At the end of the night we just felt we were keeping everyone back even though we hadn’t been there terribly long and there were still other people in the restaurant.
The restaurant was busy on a Sunday night, and it seems to be busy every time we pass so our guess is that we just aren’t the right client for it.
Fantastic food and the service was second to none!
I am currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment and the waiter was so very kind - you couldnt pay for this in my view so I couldnt rate this restaurant or its staff highly enough.
An overall fabulous dining experience on all levels.
Really excellent restaurant; terrific food, really nice and knowledgeable staff, great atmosphere and good value for money. Will definitely be back!
Incredible experience. Mind blowing menu, flavours and attention to detail. Wonderful staff. Cutlery could be better that was our only gripe!
I'd gladly recommend HOST and already have done to a number of friends and colleagues.
Not only was the food adventurous and fantastic, but the level of service and attentiveness from the staff was next to none. My wife has a capsicum intolerance; no other restaurant has paid as much attention to it as these guys; amending the menu to accommodate.
A true pleasure and will absolutely be going back.
Great food and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend
Couldn’t recommend more! Absolutely fantastic
Food was amazing 👌
amazing food and venue - staff excellent. great experience
