I brought my best friend here for her birthday. Nice vibe, friendly staff. The food was so good. The appetizer: hot honey salmon bites so good. Entree: I had the catfish and grits. So flavorful. Will definitely have again. The drinks “voodoo lady” outstanding. The table next to us were extremely loud, using profanity towards each other loud enough for the other guests to hear. The menu’s need to be laminated as I couldn’t see some of the words on it. I went to the app to view the menu so I could place my order. We did enjoy ourselves

This was our first time dining at the House of Creole and we were very pleased with the service, the food, then ambience, and the music! Our server MarQuiasha, was a pleasure to have and made us feel very welcome and taken care of. We will definitely be back!

The bang bang shrimp was the best thing we had there, but the shrimp was overcooked. I got the catfish and grits and asked for my catfish to be fried hard, it was not, but the grits were still really good. My boyfriend got the catfish and fries, which was not fried hard either and overly greasy like the fish and the fries did not get drained of grease to the point where he did not eat it. The cornbread or should I say the corn muffin did not taste like anything except for the jar of honey that was poured on top of it. We also got the crab fries, but the fries were super greasy, and there was almost no crab on the fries either or mixed in with the sauce. One irritation was the price difference than what their menu posted online and what it was in the restaurant and the automatic gratuity showed as 18% online, but we were charged 20 in the restaurant as well.

Service was awesome. Food amazing lemon pepper chicken wings and the loaded Gumbo over the grits best ever. Hubby had the catfish and grits it was amazing as well. I can’t wait to go back.

One bite in, and we were transported back to some of the best meals we’ve had in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Gulfport, and Memphis. We’ve eaten enough in those cities to recognize authentic Creole cooking, and this was the real thing—deeply flavorful and easily on par with our favorite meals in any of them. The crab-stuffed oysters, shrimp and grits, and crab cakes were beautifully executed. Each came with a sauce that complemented rather than compensated, while the seafood itself was moist, properly cooked, and flavorful enough to stand on its own. The grits were magnificent: creamy yet structured, perfectly smooth, with neither a clump nor a puddle in sight. The spinach and cornbread were equally good. Dessert brought a rich, dense, creamy banana pudding cheesecake topped with banana pudding and crumbled Nilla wafers—a delicious reason to order dessert to go.

Good food. Good laughs. A table full of love. The lemonade brunch was exactly the soft, sweet celebration she deserved.

WORST experience EVER!! 1st round of Drinks arrived AFTER we finished appetizers. I stacked up plates and dishes that were not taken off the table until I asked a passing server. My friend got her meal 10 mins before the rest of the tables meals even showed up and no one came to see how it tasted or if it was correct. The Catfish was “undercooked and mushy” after we specifically asked for it to be cooked “extra crispy”. The 2nd round of drinks came AFTER we all were finished with entrees. Despite everything there was an automatic 20% gratuity added to ALL checks. If you get ROMAN as a server just leave.. he is NOT attentive and does not care about hospitality whatsoever. Coming from someone who works in the industry I am EXTREMELY disappointed and definitely will not recommend this restaurant to anyone and I personally will NEVER be back!! I wish I could dispute the $79 charge and I have no problem ever paying for an experience.
