   Expensive, but good. The menu choices were sufficient for most diners to make a choice they like, but they may not like the 20% mandatory "service fee" tacked onto the bill, especially when they mention that this does not include a tip

   Amazing food! Fresh, tasty and came out pretty quickly. We dined with our two kids (10 and 7) and they loved Cacio e Pepe and the Meatballs. 10/10!

   The short rib cream pesto ravioli was delicious and fantastic! Would recommend anytime.

   The food was delicious! We got arancini, spinach fettuccine with oxtail and seafood linguini- recommended all of those dishes. Unfortunately, the service was horrible. Out waitress approached the table with water, didn't introduce herself, poured the water and asked if we were ready to order, didn't mention specials, greet us, nothing. We still don't know her name. We gave her our drink and appetizer order but then we had to find her again to give her our entrées. When our meals came out, she never checked if the food came out ok, if we needed anything else, more drinks....nothing! We had to find her again to get a to go box, but someone else was closer so we asked them instead and they brought the box. We were never asked if we wanted dessert, any other drinks, how our food was..... We basically had 3 waiters because we had to keep pulling people to get what we needed. The food was delicious but the service was horrible, unfortunately. This would keep us from coming back even though there were many other options on the menu that we would have loved to try.

   We were celebrating our 19th anniversary, and the manager had our waiter, Justin, provide us with 2, very good, glasses of sparkling wine. Our food was delicious. I had the Lamb (Costolette D'agnello), my wife had the Tagliatelle Primavera. They also blessed us with comping our dessert. Justin was very attentive and professional. When in DC, we will definitely return.

   We sat at the bar and had Alberto as both our server and bartender. Great drinks and delicious food all served in an attentive and professional way by Alberto. Try his old fashions. My husband says they were some of the best drinks he has ever had. Our meals consisted of the chicken parm and the pasta Bolognese. Neither should be missed. A wonderful restaurant stop if you find yourselves near the shadow of the White House. Sit at the bar and ask for Alberto!

   Whenever we’re in DC we have at least one meal at Il Piatto. Food is always delicious with good portion sizes. You can’t go wrong with any of the desserts or signature cocktails.

   We dine here every time we visit DC. Service is always great…love the decor…pasta meals are delicious as are desserts…
