   There were three of us for dinner tonight. My husband ordered the gf French Onion soup and and our friend and I ordered the regular recipe. All three of us chose the Steak Frites, with my husband’s being served with mashed as opposed to fries from a shared fryer. We never have to worry when ordering because Tonia, Jodi or Nick make sure each time we visit that we know which entrees can be served gluten free. Chef Benji did an outstanding job, as usual. We don’t often photograph our entrees because we are too busy enjoying them. Every time we dine at Fable is an occasion. Thank you!

   Excellent food....French cuisine made with fresh ingredients with obvious skill and presented beautifully. Service was very attentive, but not overbearing. The atmosphere is cozy and unique, but must be able to go down short flight steps to enter. Will definitely be returning!

   Best trout we ever ate. Everything was superb and my wife and I had a night we will long remember.

   It is a very small dining area. We were seated on the long booth area. Very difficult to have a conversation with other diners seated uncomfortably close to you. Our neighbor’s conversations drowned out ours. Food was ok. The pork chop was just that, a pork chop. The other items on the plate were indiscernible. Not our first time here and wanted to give it a second chance. Doubt we’ll give it a third.

   I had the pork chop which was okay, but was a bit tough and lacked flavor. It was on a bed of risotto, which was also good but not great. My wife always tells me that I compare my home-prepared meals with restaurant ones; rarely do I find similar restaurant offerings better than mine. But I guess that's my problem. The two others in my party did enjoy their trout and the beef short ribs. Atmosphere felt crowded and a bit noisy and not what one would expect from such a pricey restaurant. Service was exceptional.

   Excellent meal, excellent service and the ambiance is lovely! My husband and I both had the French Onion Soup which was wonderful, followed by the cote de porc and the beef bourguignon. Highly recommended.

   LaFable a smal French restaurant was a fabulous way to celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary. From the time we walked in the hostess wished us a happy anniversary and present us with a nice card signed by the staff. Our waiter came over with a complimentary champagne toast and we felt so special and welcomed. We ordered drinks and our server I think his name was Nick told us about the specials for the evening. My wife and I ordered a LaFable mixed green salad to share which was served on separate plates which were as outstanding. For dinner my wife ordered the duck and I order the 12oz NY Strip and it was cooked perfectly and the sauce was over the top. We each took a taste of each others entree and were not disappointed. With dinner my wife enjoyed a glass of Cabernet. Dessert was a special tart with chocolate and a raspberry sauce which we shared and my enjoyed her espresso. The service was top notch throughout the night and we were never rushed and enjoyed our anniversary. This was well worth the 50 minute drive to Rohoboth Beach from where we lived and is 1 of the finest restaurants we have ever eaten in.

    This might be our favorite restaurant at the beach. The food is always superb and perfectly done, the service friendly— you feel welcomed and cared for. Always a great evening.
