   Unfortunately Landon Hall totally missed the mark for this Afternoon Tea. From the uninspiring conference room (tea is not served in the beautiful main building) to the cranberry jam and non-existent clotted cream the whole event was a disappointment. No loose leaf, no wait staff checking on us for top ups on hot water, the instrumental Christmas music playing in the background…So many great things to say about Langdon Hall but none apply to their Afternoon Tea.

   The food was excellent! Lovely ambience with food & music. The musician was very entertaining and engaged really throughout the evening. My only critique is that when offering tea or coffee that is should be served relatively close to dessert being served. I was asked & ordered coffee but it was 45 minutes later when they actually placed an empty cup on the table. At that point dessert had been cleared away & the evening program was 5 minutes from ending. So didn’t end up having coffee.

   The Winter House is one of our favourite experiences every year. It’s so cozy. The new menu items were amazing this year. Thank you!

   The setting was drab so grey not pleasing. The service was good, and the food was good but nothing special. The scones were too similar and he sandwiches okay. I would not have booked if known that it would not be in main house!

   We were very excited for our reservation and we were aware we’d be on a ‘heated’ patio; however, the reservation mentioned the dress code was ‘business casual’. No where online while making the reso did it mention to dress warm. We froze our butts off. I will definitely try to make another reservation and I will be bringing a warmer coat, a toque and gloves. The food and service was fantastic.

   I took my husband here to lift his spirts, he is going through some health concerns.I wanted to love this experience however I failed to realize the winter house at Langdon Hall is completely outside and we were dressed for an indoor environment. Our server was absolutely wonderful, even in the cold she was extremely attentive. The food presentation was really nice, the taste however was extremely salty. I hope to bring him back in a much warmer setting and give it another try!

   The staff was very attentive, and service at the Winter House was wonderful. And the food? Absolutely delicious, and always beautifully plated. A fun experience for our Valentine's Day outing!

    Unique Canadian winter patio experience ! Dress warm. Excellent service and wonderful, creative food.
