Third time here, first time for lunch. Food was delicious and service was impeccable.

Excellent all round Food and Service.

I arranged my sisters birthday at Lobstar on Sunday and it was such an enjoyable evening thanks to Veronika and her amazing team.

Amazing every time! Would highly recommend it!! Staff are so friendly and the food is unreal.

It was a year since we last visited Lobstar and I'd forgotten how fantastic it is. The quality of the food, the taste and presentation is all excellent and service is super. I am a chef, private caterer, health-chef teacher and super fussy about all afore mentioned. It is a very 'rare' moment that I leave a restaurant totally trilled by flavours, execution of dishes, service etc and much to my husbands delight - Lobstar delivered.
Well done team Lobstar, we wont leave it a year until we next visit you, but maybe a couple of weeks.
It is actually very rewarding to write this short review. I truly believe in giving 5* credit where 5*credit is due.
I know Lobstar is Husband and Wife team, but they have also employed friendly professional service staff. You get a warm and intimate welcome, I think, often only found in family run establishments and when owners actually work on site. Thank you Lobstar, Maggie Lynch

Amazing food, quality and tase is exceptional,service is extremely gracious and faultless. Truly an experience!

One note for improvement-place is tiny so a bit squishy! Wine list a little limited and could be better if slightly more chilled (noticed same on last visit too). Would not stop me returning I should add!!

Great interesting food, served beautifully, excellent staff, really friendly buzz in the room and everyone seemed to be having great fun! we had a really excellent evening. Only downside - our table was not great - too near the Loo and the service area so book early and ask for the front of the room!

Food & service are excellent. Venue is small and can get a bit noisy. Wine list is very pricey and it's hard to find anything reasonable which takes a little gloss off of it.

I enjoyed my first meal in Lobstar last Friday evening. It is a lovely venue, quiet with lovely music played discreetly in the back ground. The service was excellent, informative and helpful. The food was delicious and importantly for me they had organic wine. THey also had a good quality wine in general which appealed to my Dad who is a wine buff and was pleasantly surprised with everything.

Always a favorite when back in Ireland. They do a great early bird menu with usually a good fish dish but this time I went with Lobster which was super fresh and tasty. The restaurant is lovely and cosy, service is always great and food delicious! If you want good seafood in Ireland go here!

As ever , a great dining experience at Lobstar . The menu continues to offer excellent choice and beautifully cooked fish of the day ; and the fantastic lobster and oysters always delight . Front of house is as always congenial, friendly , professional in every way . Wine list just gets it right : not too long , excellently chosen . Zolt, Veronika , and the team of Marco and co just keep doing lovely things . Great to see Lobstar always busy and vibrant .

Food is good but the early bird menu dictates you pay supplements if you want lobster!

Lovely little restaurant in Monkstown. Great welcome and service from the team. The food, mainly fish, though some beef/veggie options, was excellent. We had scallops and open mushroom ravioli to start, shared a black dover sole for mains and finally chocolate mouse and custard tart. Slightly pricey but not really in Dublin price terms. Absolutely recommend this restaurant for couples and groups up to 4, think too tight for larger parties.

We’ve been to lobster many times , and each and every time the entire experience is as fabulous as the 1st. The food & the friendly staff and warm ambiance makes for a very special dining experience,

We had a fabulous night in Lobstar on Friday night. We arrived at 6pm and we were made to feel so welcome. The service was outstanding. We decided to have the early bird special scallops ceviche and then Lobstar ravioli. Both were excellent. It was one of the best nights we have had in a long time.

There were four of us and we had 3 courses, Starters and Mains were excellent - probably the dessert was a little too much. Fish was delicious for mains and starters choices was quite varied and all delicious. Definitely going back - wine selection could be a little better in the €35 to €45 range.

This is the 5th or 6th time we've visited Lobstar in Monkstown - it's our go to restaurant for a local night out and it never fails to impress. Slight menu changes each times (with specials) mean that there is always something new to try. Sometimes it's a little noisy as it's small, but it has a great ambience and it's cosy. I recommend highly if you like fish. Save some space for dessert.

We frequently eat at Lobstar. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The food is beautifully prepared and delicious. This is my go-to place when we have guests or a special occasion. And.....it’s so much more convenient than driving into town.
If you haven’t tried this wonderful restaurant you should put it on your dining-out bucket list!

The service was organised, informative and friendly as they explained the menu. The steak, seafood and dessert were some of the best we’d had with flavours and presentation superb. We come form London where this restaurant would be an absolute winner. Thank you! We will come again!!

Service was exemplary and made for a very special occasion

It was my second time to visit Lobstar and I was once again delighted by the experience. The food is incredibly good, really thoughtfully put together, wonderfully prepared and presented and absolutely delicious. The detail provided (by the owner) about the dishes is extraordinarily helpful and I was seriously impressed when she brought out some Tonka beans to show us when we queried what they were. It's a super restaurant and definitely in my opinion one of the hidden gems of south county Dublin!
