The Restaurant

London Darbar's exclusive signature restaurant is now here. A fusion of contemporary art decor with ambient lighting create this superb restaurant and now already being labelled as essex's hotspot and a must see restaurant. A fusion of modern art and amazing indian cuisine is brought to you by our celebrity head chef who has cooked for the likes of The Royal Family and the Prime Minister.

The Restaurant features modern art, ambient lighting, double sided marine fish tank and our very own private "Red Room" for private dining. The restaurant is designed to entertain so sit back and enjoy the menu that ranges from the sea bass Lamb, Chicken and exquisite vegetarian dishes and a bar that serves fine whiskeys, mind blowing cocktails and refreshing smoothies, this is where you need to be on the weekends.

I booked because on the web it was Lebanese. Clear misdescription as it was closed. It was indian.

The ambience was nice and we were sat almost immediately. The waiting staff was polite and were happy to give us our time to make our minds for what we wanted to eat. The starters of chicken tandoori and paneer tikka was quite good but we were disappointed with the main course. The chicken was undercooked and all the curries were pretty bland and tasteless. I had high expectations from the place, but was left disaapointed.

I gathered with my friends on a birthday party. Very good atmosphere and food was awesome !

One of my favourite Punjabi Indian restaurants. Authentic tasting dishes. Great service and always had a pleasant meal here. Always busy with a great atmosphere. Too many great dishes to mention just a few. Have been many times in the past. It’s a shame it has closed down now

The food was very good with ample vegetarian options.The service good even though waitress has no idea of the dishes-no problem for us .The one negative point smoking outside at the entrance off-putting as going in and coming out.

I really enjoyed my visit here. The food was delicious, the service was great and overall it is one of my favourite Indian restaurants. I would definitely recommend it!

Visited the restaurant after watching a movie. Took a bit of time to find parking. The ambience was good. The service was pretty decent, portion sizes were good. Food was a bit spicy for the kids but overall nice.

I used opentable.co.uk to make dinner reservations at London Darbar. The online reservation did not give an option of Turkish vs Indian. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were taken upstairs to the Turkish section. When we explained that we were expecting to eat at the Indian side, we were told we should have specified this beforehand. We explained we were tourists and didn't know that there was even a turkish section at all (I had eaten on the Indian side the previous week). The waiter offered to make a compromise and bring food from the Indian section to the Turkish section, however this took over an hour before I starters were even ready and then we were moved to the Indian side where we were met with anger by the waiter there. The food was good but the booking issue and the attitude dampened the experience.

The service was amazing with VERY friendly waiters and amazing food with very fast service for the food. I recommend this resturant to everyone and for special occations.
