Lucia York is an all-day restaurant and cocktail bar serving a modern Italian menu feat. homemade pasta, gelato, pizza, pesce & carne dishes seven days a week.

Located in the heart of York minutes away from York Minster and The Shambles, this stylish restaurant boasts elegant interiors and an attractive heated outdoor courtyard.

Lucia's patisserie is open from 9am every day. The main restaurant opens from 12pm.

The venue is lovely, staff were good but the food was hit and miss, some items were tremendous others were bland and overcooked - starters were all lovely,chicken breast perfect, halloumi overcooked , carbonara ,lasagne , bolognese all had overcooked pasta and were very bland in flavour. 4 meals served and practically finished by time 5th was served although staff apologised. Then large table of 8 rowdy vulgar people came in and that finished it for us and for others beside us. Their conversations and language were unpleasant. This was booked for my 60th birthday and unfortunately it didn’t meet the reviews we read or our expectations. Shame really.

Very noisy, struggling to have a conversation, food excellent, price a bit steep, basically given £45 in tip, food and drinks would have come to £40 pp if just booked a table and not bottomless brunch

Excellent meal! Food was absolutely gorgeous!! Incredibly flavoursome. Setting was lovely. Staff attentive but not OTT. This place is a great experience without being fussy. Just classy!

It's been a while but Lucia's was as good as ever. Lovely food, atmosphere and excellent service. Gives a Mediterranean holiday feeling.

Great Atmosphere. You need to book. But in all honestly expansive for not the best italian food

Waited a long time for drinks , starters came before drinks . Risotto wasn’t cooked properly it was still hard and grainy . My friend has a mild nut allergy and was unable to have any dessert at all , even though plenty of the desserts wouldn’t of had nuts in, the waiter wouldn’t serve her any , I find it hard that you cant cater for anyone with a nut allergy as it’s such a common allergy , so she was left out unable to have anything . It’s like saying that anyone with a seafood allergy cannot have anything at all out of your kitchen incase of cross contamination!

Lucia is a great place to eat. The staff are friendly and efficient, the food is very good and for what I would call, a reasonable price. The only negative comment I would make was that it was rather noisy.

Tried on a number of occasions to eat here but if you don’t book it is always going to be challenging. This time we did book and we are so glad we did. A fantastic lunch set menu that is available up to 16:45 pm is incredible value! Food was delicious our waitress was so friendly and professional the outside location creates a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you for a great lunch! We will be back (with a booking!) 😃

I love this place been there a couple of times food is fantastic full of flavour atmosphere is great staff really friendly, helpful and attentive. I would just say if you want to eat somewhere quiet it’s probably not the place for you but I love that vibe with quite loud ish music. Great place will definitely be returning in the near future.
