This was an odd experience for being in downtown Buda. The aesthetic was the only decent part. The drinks were overpriced and they tasted gross. I got a strawberry margarita and nothing about it tasted like strawberries or even artificial strawberries. The salsa was inside a condiment cup lol??? That’s insane for chips and salsa that isn’t free like most Mexican restaurants. You can tell the audience is not meant to attract Mexican’s which is ironic considering it is a Mexican themed restaurant. I also made sure to book a reservation. I walked in with empty tables everywhere and they asked “did you make a reservation?” , they looked shocked when I said yes. They then said “ok ummm.. we can fit you in that corner” LOL oh okay. They also have no AC unit in the middle of Texas summer. Overall, I wouldn’t come here again.

Love Ma'Coco! The food and drinks are always great (if you're going N/A, I highly recommend the virgin Mojito) and the service is fantastic. Love the intimate atmosphere, too . . . a refreshing break from the hectic world we live in.

The food was good and the service was good but their AC was out and they gave us no heads up. We ordered are drinks and food quick so we were stuck once we realized how hot it was in the Texas heat. Apparently the AC has been out for a month and they haven’t done anything about it. And don’t warn their customers. How horrible!

Loved the lunch offerings. The drinks and bartender were amazing. Yes, it’s small. Yes, it’s an old building and warm in the summertime (they’re trying). Yes, it’s crowded and sometimes there is only one server (all indoor tables take) and one bartender. But the food was delicious (we got the breakfast burrito, al pastor tacos, and tacos de gobernador, mojitos and margaritas). It’s local. Try it.

Great place but way too warm inside. Probably high 80s in early June. If they don’t get HVAC corrected eat there when you will be comfortable sitting outside in October to March.

The placed seemed pretty cute online and was looking forward to trying a new place. Upon arrival no one was there to check in after 5 minutes of standing up front I walked to back area to ask someone how to check in, they said I needed to wait up front but I had been and no one came to see me or say will be right with you. Not a great first impression, the inside was extremely hot as if no AC was on and just as bad as being outside in the heat if not worse. I was there with a baby and we were inside at first and decided to move out due to the heat inside. The staff was so kind to help us move and provided great service even after. We ended up rushing to eat just so we could leave. I made an inside reservation due to the summer. Wish I would have known the inside was so hot.

The location is small. We had a reservation at 12:30pm on Mothers Day but their kitchen was backed up and they did not have any inside tables available for our reservation. They sat us outside (I requested inside) in the sun but better than waiting. We waited over an hour and 15 mins for our food. We were moved inside about 10 mins before our food came out because it was HOT! Our server brought us donuts to compensate but the lunch was still about $200 with appetizers, cocktails, entrees, and we took some donuts to go. The food was really good! Truly! The service was okay. The servers were doing their best. Just need to figure out their kitchen and be able to keep up. If they can’t, they shouldn’t take reservations.

Had reservations for Mother's Day and they were extremely unprepared. The kitchen was very backed up and we ended up getting our food to go after over an hour. Waitress never checked on us during that time to even fill up our waters. We were told our food was being "boxed up" for the last half our of our wait. Asked for a refund and they declined because (again) the food was being "boxed up". Probably wouldn't suggest this place on a holiday or during peak hours.

Nightmare experience. I made a reservation for 7 PM inside for a party of four. We arrived at 7 PM and told the hostess we had a reservation for 7. There were no tables available inside. I don’t understand how they could give up our table when we had it reserved. We were seated outside which was fine. Service was slow. Our drink order was screwed up. My buddy ordered a margarita without salt and it came with salt. The bartender then argued with our waiter about it. Also, the waiter was nice but she gave my girlfriend’s drink to my buddy and my buddy’s drink to her. The bartender, short thin blonde girl should be fired. She was a disaster. I felt bad about the waitresses because they were friendly and tried so hard. This place is understaffed. I won’t be returning.
