Wonderful experience, good and drinks were exceptional. Our server Joe was so kind and attentive. Would definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try.

The food was great and our server was good. Wait staff was prompt with refills and they paid attention. The menu varies but this time they had some healthy salad options that are appreciated for calorie conscious diners. Food was good. Sadly, it is loud! The screaming kids should have been removed but parents were too busy drinking. It truly spoiled a special night out. Staff should address these if the parents are numb to poorly behaved kids. It fair to other diners spending $150.00 for dinner.

The beer and sparkling rose we ordered at the bar were both flat. We were asked to wait for our reserved table even though the dining room had many empty 2 tops and we were never shown to a table, the hostess apparently ignoring us. What saved the evening was an excellent dinner at a small table in the bar and an outstanding waiter.

This was, without a doubt, one of the most relaxing and delicious Sunday brunches we've ever had. Our wonderful server, Robyn, made us feel right at home, seating us at a perfect table alongside the vibrant and lush garden. The ambiance was simply breathtaking, with the nice architecture and meticulously kept grounds and a garden, creating a truly cozy, fresh, and welcoming atmosphere. The culinary offerings were exceptional. The oysters were incredibly fresh and briny, a perfect start. The prime rib was unbelievably succulent, tender, and full of a deep, savory flavor and a savory outer layer. We also enjoyed a couple of their inventive and delicious salads. The variety on the buffet was impressive, offering everything from delicate smoked salmon to hearty chicken and waffles, ensuring there was something for every taste. Between the incredible food, the beautiful and serene setting, and the genuinely kind and attentive staff, this was a five-star experience all around. We left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to our next visit.

Atmosphere and service were fantastic. We specifically appreciated the dog friendliness. The starters were amazing (especially the pâté) but the mains were rather disappointing considering the high price point. The cauliflower main was essentially a plate full of deep fried chicken nuggets with honey. The dessert was a sticky glue with sugary rice crispies on top that we had to return.

From the moment we walked into The Tavern Restaurant, we were swept into an unforgettable dining experience. The atmosphere was warm and elegant, setting the perfect tone for the evening outside. Scott, our waiter, was impeccable—attentive, kind, and genuinely knowledgeable. Every detail of our service was thoughtful and seamless. Daniel, our sommelier, was equally impressive. His wine and vermouth recommendations elevated our meal beautifully and added a refined touch to each course. Thanks Zach, for the bubbles!! Adrien and Bjorn enchanted us with beautiful stories of the history of Mattei’s including the original architecture, buildings, and horseshoes on the wall. We hung on every word as we were taken back in time. The dinner itself was absolutely exquisite. My husband enjoyed the Smash Burger and fresh cut fries, while I enjoyed the Half Chicken. Each started off with a beautiful Kale Salad. Every bite was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. It’s clear the kitchen takes immense pride in both quality and creativity. We were treated like royalty the entire night, and it made for a truly special occasion. We finished the evening with a beautiful walk around the grounds and admired the history from which we just learned about. Thank you to the entire team at The Tavern for a night we won’t soon forget.
