Metropolis has a chic, urban adult atmosphere where creativity is king. Lava lamps, abstract art and the clever fusion of food and drink await. More than 80 hand crafted martinis, 20 single malt scotches, a sophisticated winelist and an everchanging assortment of fabulous things to eat are offered. Metropolis offers more than 50 "small plates" (the literal translation of "tapas"), some lighter, some heavier, some hot, some cold, and from there the fun begins.
Between the two of them, Mark and Matt of Metropolis have over 30 years of restaurant experience in Corolla, and they pride themselves on making your experience at Metropolis a memorable one. Open year round for dinner. Metropolis is a favorite of locals and those in the restaurant industry.

When we are visiting Corolla, we come here at least once a week. Starting with the yummy and ample martinis and then with a very fun, small plate style approach to the menu. This week we enjoyed the Lamb kofta with the amazing red pepper base, the mini crab cakes. Hubby ALWAYS gets the short rib rage of it is in the menu and I really enjoy the foie gras as dessert. Matt and Mark are truly masters. Enjoy!

This is just a wonderful restaurant. The small plates are delicious. There's a GF menu for those with allergies. They can also offer GF options on the regular menu. Example: they swapped out the pasta for polenta cakes.

Been going here for more than 10 years. Most recent might have been the best. Wonderful crab cakes, calamari was so tender. And the break pudding was amazing. Always very warm and friendly, wonderful drinks, and great food. It’s not inexpensive but it always feels worth it.

We had an excellent dinner and cocktails at Metropolis and we will definitely be back. We had an unusually delicious roasted garlic bisque, fresh focaccia bread, Tom kha gai with giant chunks of lobster, calamari, and foie gras, all served tapas style. There were a variety of tasty cocktails to try as well. Perfect for a date night out.

Lots of nice menu options. Enjoyed the roasted garlic bisque. Focaccia was equally lovely. Unique bourbon selections (they have Blanton’s)!

As usual, Metropolis was great. The food is imaginative and delicious and the cocktails are above and beyond. We returned the next night just for a nightcap.
