Mini Grill Glasgow is an internationally-inspired restaurant you really shouldn’t miss. Beneath Street level on Bath Street, right in the heart of the city, Mini Grill is cosy and cool and great for dinner as well as drinks. There are breakfast, lunch and pre-theatre menus available, but from the a la carte you can expect everything from gourmet burgers to mains like Thai curry or braised lamb shank. Or, one thing to try if there’s a group of you is the Scottish plate sharer that features balmoral chicken & black pudding blankets, haggis toast, Galloway cheddar & clapshot croquets, battered Troon haddock fingers and a selection of dips. Took my girlfriend and her friend here for lunch on Valentine's day, food was fantastic, service was great and the staff were lovely! My only complaint would be price - despite the fact the food is amazing, however it was Valentine's Day.

Trying to aspire to designer plates but should concentrate on the basics first. Run out of fillet steak. Plates served unheated which meant all but lamb was cold. Service was attentive and friendly. Some promise but not to be recommended until much more experienced

We booked the table beforehand with two weeks in advance, we were served one hour and a half later!! We ended up having only one course and ate very quick because we were going to a concert after our meal. We almost didn't get our food in time. The food though was excellent. Such a shame they were too slow!

I visited Mini Grill with three friends on a Friday evening. Decor was very nice while the relaxed atmosphere made dining a great, chilled out experience. The service was excellent and friendly while the food was different class. Very good choice of alcoholic beverages and overall a fantastic night. Will be back very soon!

I booked the table for a nice wee pre-theatre dinner. We didn't go for a pre-theatre meal, just a normal meal. The food was amazing. Every one of us thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would certainly go again. The atmosphere is lovely too. The waiters were all very friendly and had a laugh with us so overall it was a good experience. However, I was required to pay a deposit of £5 per person (thus £30 for the 6 diners) and I had no problems with this. In fact, I booked it online and, since there is no online facility to pay a deposit, I did the goodly thing of phoning up to pay a deposit as an upstanding citizen would. Unfortunately, when it came to paying the bill there was some hassle in that they hadn't taken account of the fact I had paid a deposit of £30 and the staff weren't welcoming when it came to taking this off the bill. In fact it caused quite a stir. I don't know if this was due to a lack of communication about the fact that a deposit had been taken or what the reason was. Needless to say, there shouldn't have been such a problem. This was quite disappointing, especially following such a wonderful dinner. I wouldn't say not to go because it is a fantastic restaurant and, like I say, I would go back. But something should be put in place to ensure that deposits are noted and taken from the bill. It would surely enhance the whole experience.

Outstanding experience end to end! The front of house service was excellent and the food was simply awesome. Can't recommend this place highly enough!!

This is a lovely wee basement restaurant. It was quite a walk for us from the city centre but we built up a good appetite and were treated to a fantastic gourmet meal. Beverages and food were as expected city prices - certainly not cheap but good quality hence good value. Excellent service - friendly and helpful. Only problem for me was the small selection of vegetarian choices. The other three in our party - staunch carnivores - all enjoyed their fillet steaks cooked to their requirements.

I only discovered this little gem of a place yesterday and really wish I'd known about it sooner! Will definitely be returning. The service was first class, and the food was amazing. Great menu, something for everyone, I really struggled to decide on what to have. Settled on the Pork belly with black pudding and I wasn't disappointed. My friend opted for the Asian stir-fry with chicken and she said it was the best one she had tasted. Have already recommended to all my friends.
