   The food was good. It is definitely a party destination. There were no less than seven birthday parties while we were there, and they turn down the restaurant lights, and flash a strobe light and ring a bell and staff come out with sparklers every time it’s someone’s birthday. It’s like an upscale Fridays in that regard. So it was pretty disruptive and very loud the entire time. I can see if someone were going to celebrate a birthday this would be a fun place to go.

   We ordered the chicken kebabs. We removed them all from the stick and had them on the plate. We ate a few pieces , then realized the rest of the chicken pieces were completely raw. We sent it back. Instead of getting us a new entree, they put those pieces back on the grill, and then overcooked them so they came back dry. It seemed unsanitary and unnecessary.

   I celebrated my birthday here. Top tier restaurant! Friendly staff , beautiful ambiance, smells delicious , and the birthday celebration made me feel special. I’ll be back !

   The bar is set high for Mediterranean cuisine here in Philly with restaurants like Suraya and now Emmet, both in Fishtown. Mona doesn't meet those standards but there were things I liked about it (and didn't). Service was excellent, and it's a beautiful space. The humus was ho hum, and the chunks of pita were not exactly fresh from the oven. My entree, the lamb shank, was delicious but I'm not sure there was enough there for 2 people as indicated on the menu, and pricy at $44 given the smallish serving. Our dessert - baclava - was outstanding. Probably wouldn't return given my proximity to the other restaurants mentioned above. It lands in the category of "just ok."

   Food is delicious affordable and location is fantastic. Highly recommend for night out or to go take the slow cooked lamb over risotto. The affordability was extremely superior and the location looks amazing but only available on weekends during the week it is just simple seating upfront

   It was amazing! For bdays they also added in sparklers and others. The dips were AMAZING

    Seating was terrible. Could hardly get to your seat without bumping into another table.
