Ospi (short for ospitante meaning "host" in Italian) by Jackson & Melissa Kalb is an elevated celebration of a classic Brooklyn red sauce joint with a counterculture twist, influenced by Venice, CA. Great food as always. A few hiccups as they brought items we didn’t order and forgot others we did. Overall good experience but a few misses and slightly overpriced.

This is a hard one. Because everything tasted great, however, I would not put it down as Italian and I’m not talking about the American Italian variety, I’m talking about Italian Italian. We sat outside and the patio could benefit from a little updating. But it was better because when the inside got packed, it was very loud. All in all, tasty with good service; probably would need to be in the neighborhood to consider it again, not going to drive 50 mins again to eat there.

Their handmade pasta is incredibles! I had the lobster lemon pistacchio linguine, that was not overcooked, the sauce was rich in flavorous. Their quality coctails are delicious, as well.

All courses in our dinner were wonderful--this restaurant does everything from appetizers to mains in an exceptional manner. Service was excellent; we chose to ear outside but their interior is also welcoming and quite appealing. This is a great place to eat pasta dishes, pizza, and their more selective list of mains. An outstanding restaurant. I am so veru happy that I am in a walking distance from it.

Outstanding service. We received a warm welcome upon arrival. Our server guided us through the menu and was super helpful, enthusiastic and passionate about the menu. Great wine list and lunch specials. The meatballs and kale salad with chicken were delicious. My guest noted the eggplant had a kick to it and she absolutely devoured the caesar. I’m coning back for pizza and pasta!

Ospi Venice is amazing! You have to try the Pepe-Roni pizza and the Chicken Parm. We live nearby and love this spot so much.

I got engaged before dinner and surprised my now fiancé by having her parents come. They service was incredible overall. They greeted us with champagne and a card from the staff. Our server Jess was wonderful and the GM on site was fantastic. Loved the food and everyone made the dinner so special!

Our server was amazing! She offered to try a salad we were unsure about and replace our salad if we didn’t like it (adverse to cilantro). And she did exactly that which was so kind. Overall, I just find it hard to pay $28 for such a small Spicy Rigatoni.
