Parea sent me a text message on the day of the booking (Valentines Day) saying that they are cancelling my booking due to staffing issues. This is after they had taken a deposit off me (which I'm still waiting to receive back). They also then refused any sort of compensation for the inconvenience. This would have been my first visit there but due to this experience I probably won't ever go there now

Booked a table for Valentines and was told a deposit would be required which was duly paid. Received a text 2 hours before our meal cancelling blaming staff shortages. Have tried to get our deposit back several times and after speaking to the uncaring owner Mr James they refuse to refund us. Do not touch this company with a barge pole. They will take your money, cancel and then keep your deposit. SCAM!

Lovely food, good atmosphere but it was very cold. Every time the door opened a gust of cold air chilled us.

The food was decent and the staff were lovely and welcoming. Unfortunately the dining experience teamed with the entertainment didn’t work for me. The room is too small to have people eating and dancing at the same time. Maybe if the artists were good singers it wouldn’t have been so uncomfortable. I was confused and irritated by the experience.

The food was honestly great however service was lacking. Arrived and was not greeted, hovered by the door for 5 mins an then went to the bar and said I have a table. Sat down an my drink order was took straight away. When my friend arrived she asked for a cocktail menu and was told they didn’t have one ( have a wine list) so she ordered a pornstar martini ( was nice). Food menus were brought over however they were paper menus that said parea take away? Ordered food and it came reasonably quickly. Was asked if we wanted any more drinks around 20 mins after we finished food. Waited for someone to come over to ask for the bill once drinks were finished and this took 40 mins. Over all it wasn’t a bad experience but felt like a bar that served food rather then a restaurant as there was no front of house member of staff or any specific staff waiting tables ( was more as an when a bar staff member came over ). Would eat there again but hope they approve their service as the concept felt a little confused

Food was gorgeous and staff/ management were very friendly and welcoming. The noise level did rise later in the evening so conversation was difficult but we had a lovely evening and will return.

Great food however service was slow. No cocktails were on, haven’t been on for about 3 months now- used to be the best cocktails in Alderley!
