The fish and seafood here is always very fresh. Love the ceviche and the lobster rolls.
Very good, especially since it was Restaurant Week and they had the $35 three-course meal which included any of the entrees on the menu which was very nice. Passionfish tends to be very pricey, I think, considering it is basically a seafood restaurant ($34, $36 entree prices?) but this was a very good deal.
I came during restaurant week, it was delicious I was pleasantly surprised everything. It was nice and fresh, hot and ready, the waiter and staff are very nice. I would love to go back.
Try the Big Daddy or Mini Me. The Flounder is always great!
I have been a big fan of this restaurant and a long time customer but was very disappointed with my dinner experience last night. The shrimp tempura roll was not up to standard and the service was terrible. While we were greeted promptly, our server disappeared for most of the dinner. Our bottle of wine was moved away from the table and the server never returned to pour a second glass. We needed a busboy to retrieve the wine. Further, the bill came with the wrong price on the wine and had to be corrected. Finally, in the past, a manager would stop by the table to make sure everything was good and the hostess would usually thank you for dining there, none of that happened. I’m not sure what happened but it was not a good experience. I will say that the entrees were fine but the evening left me cold.
We did dinner during restaurant week. Unfortunately, we had very slow service and the restaurant wasn't even busy. BUT the food was fantastic - as always
continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in the area...great food and good value and very good service every time.....
Went for restaurant week and they did not disappoint. Da
Flash fried flounder and salmon were soooo good. The lobster bisque is Better than the ceviche. Service was good.
An excellent dining experience in every respect - taste, presentation, service, environment.
Great service! Our waiter was attentive And had an in-depth knowledge of the menu. Food was very good, my lobster tail was delicious. My steak was a little bit tough, I ordered the surf and turf. All in all it was a great experience and my clients are happy with their meals.
Outstanding Restaurant!! Fresh Food, Awesome Drinks, and Fabulous Dessert!! The Service was absolutely the BEST!! Thank you Passion Fish for the great experience in dining!!
Crispy flounder was very good, not greasy and oysters on the half shell were very good. I did not like the clams on the half shell, they are too small the meat was not sweet as it should be.
This is a descent restaurant. The ambience is nice in the evening. The prices are high but then food is average at best. Not sure why other reviews are raving aboit the food. Thr service can be more top notch. May server seem very green at table service work. Looking around at the other server I wasnt impressed with the level of knowledge of the craft. For the prices they charge, the service and food should make you remember and want to return. I was not impressed.
Enjoyed a lovely dinner at Passionfish. It had been awhile since we've dined there -- mostly due to parking confusion at RTC but seems to be much better now. We had cocktails and Cesar salad to start then had the Lobster curry dish and grilled barramundi for entrees. It's a little on expensive side but choice of fresh sushi and seafood are the best around so definitely worth the expense.
Passionfish is our favorite restaurant in Reston Town Center. We've been here many times. Four of us were celebrating our birthdays and were pleased to receive complimentary desserts. My only complaint was that my haricot vert beans were overcooked. This happens often in some restaurants but is unexpected here. All our fish dishes were superb.
All of the food was exquisite. The server was attentive and didn't linger too much. The explanation of the menu may seem long if you know exactly what you want, but if you don't, it is very informative.
Great service.Really like the Peruvian ceviche appetizer. Service was excellent from entering all the way through exiting.
The server (Claudia) was phenomenal; and the food was very tasty. The restaurant was clean; and the entire staff was courteous and friendly. The portions were appropriate; and I left very satisfied with the whole experience.
Consistently good food and service.
Matt was an excellent waiter. The food was prepared perfectly and timely.
This restaurant has a beautiful set up, we were there for brunch, menu was well put together, soups, beet salad and fried chicken & waffles were out of this world!!
our server Maria W. was excellent, even there was ten of us with two kids and lots of requests and lots of orders she timed everything perfectly, she was very attentive to all of us.
we had a fabulous time that's why we're going back this weekend again!
Been 2 other times. Never disappoints. Had the sea bass with the side of egg plant -- delicious.
Great fish. Eggplant side was delicious but could be a little less crazy. Similarly, the mashed potatoes were tasty but just a little too rich for my taste. The sauce on the fish was great.
Last minute idea for an anniversary dinner. Very nice atmosphere. they had "happy anniversary" at the top of our menues and a special momento menue to take with us. The ONLY criticism we have is the the food was very salty and too many sauces. (that could be just our personal tastes now since we try to eat very clean, organic and basic foods) The oysters on the half-shell were very fresh and very good. the crab cakes were gluten free (yea!) and very good. Don't get me wrong- we ate every thing on our plates.... but the saltiness of sauce on the brussel sprouts and the sauce on the scallops was a downside.
We haven't been to PassionFish in a few years. We were disappointed and probably won't be back. It's not that the food was bad, but it is overpriced for what they offered. They've definitely lost a step or two since we last visited.
As usual, excellent service and food at PassionFish. My father, despite being at a seafood restaurant, ordered a NY Strip steak and declared it to be one of the best he had ever had. Staff was very accommodating for our 4 year old son.
PassionFish has never disappointed us...and this night I had the best crab cake of my life! Enjoyed this meal with my husband and 4 teenagers. We all loved our food.
passion fish never, ever disappoints. beautiful food, beautiful personable service, fresh ingredients, and honestly = it is one of the only restaurants of its kind that does NOT have overly obnoxious, audible pop-rock music.... i take clients out who are often older, have trouble hearing or even have mild hearing impairments and we go to nice, expensive restaurants which are upscale and the ambience is supposed to be dignified, calm, soothing - for serious conversation, esp. business conversation - and there is just some cheap music BLARING all through the room... my colleagues and i constantly ask managers to please adust their music 1) way, way down.... but - BUT - 2) adjust it to something that fits the mood you're trying to create for heavens' sake: so, in an upscale, sophisticated eatery for special occasions and conversation, why not soft classical or jazzz - something NOT WITH WORDS, NOT WITH ELECTRIC GUITARS... you see? anyway - up until now, passion fish has been the BEST we know of this... very gentle, unintrusive music... until this last time... when they had like, full on 80s pop tunes blaring. WHY??? why passion fish - why? OTHER WISE, YOU ARE PERFECT. EVERYTHING THING ABOUT YOU - PERFECT !
Jack Wood is wonderful! Also my dining partner and I both had the steak. Best steak we’ve ever had!
Once again, Passion Fish did an excellent job. It was my wife's birthday and Gerard was our server. He was an excellent server, knows the entire menu, and made perfect recommendations. We are eager to return!
The sushi is always outstanding. The service was ok. I gave the server a generous rating. Food is awesome, every time!
As always, the food and service were impeccable. Their Sunday brunch is a fantastic value and you never leave there hungry. I'm already looking forward to the next time.
Lovely family meal. The service was excellent, friendly but professional. Delicious oysters and a very interesting spiced flounder dish. The sushi was also very good with unusual combinations. We will return.
I have been to PassionFish a handful of times now and have never been disappointed. Needing to be gluten free their servers are educated and 90% of the menu can be tweaked to accommodate. Service is spot on, food wonderful, what else is there to say.
Excellent service food selections very good
Great ambiance and fabulous cuisine.
Excellent dinner. Everyone in our party of 8 enjoyed their meals.
Our waiter was exceptional as was the food! It was very noisy, however, which made it difficult to have a conversation.
We are regulars at Passionfish, and the food is always consistently extremely good. We usually have very good service, but Sunday July 8 seemed to be a very off night!! They were severely understaffed, our waitress had too many tables and our service was extremely slow. Even water and then drinks were a very long time in coming, and food took forever. We were not in a hurry, but this was extreme. The waitress did her best, but was super busy and running constantly, she just could not keep up. The kitchen may also have been slow. The interior of the restaurant was almost empty...so not sure what the delay was except that they did not have enough employees.
