Friday August 1st | 3:00pm Experience Wines from Velenosi Velenosi is an Italian estate based in the DOC wine province of Piceno in Marche. Founded in 1984 by Angela and Ercole Velenosi. Operating across ~150–220 ha of vineyards in Marche and southern Abruzzo. Every pour has a story—come sip your way through a tasting full of character and charm. Enjoy 4 delicious wines, paired with small tasting plates prepared by our culinary team! Verdicchio Castelli di Jesi: One of the most famous and historic Marche appellations, these dry white wines are made from the ancient Verdicchio grape variety. Legend has it that when the troops of the king of the Visigoths, Alarich (370-410), marched on Rome, they drank barrels of Verdicchio to maintain their strength. Pecorina Offida: Perhaps, the first thing you think of when the name ‘Pecorino’ is mentioned is a Roman cheese, but in this case, it is not. In Offida DOCG, Pecorino is the name of a local grape variety with great potential. Brecciarolo Rosso: Ruby red color with garnet hues. The nose results intense with notes of red fruits, fresh violet flowers and spices. On the palate it is persistent, aromatic and full-bodied. It keeps all the aromas felt at the nose. It can be defined as a charismatic and distinct wine. Roggio Del Filare Rosso: Intense aromas of homemade blackberry jam, plum compote and dried violet jump out of the glass on this 70% Montepulciano 30% Sangiovese blend from the Rosso Piceno Superiore of Velenosi. The palate is full of lush, dark-fruit flavors both preserved and baked, with sweet and savory spices on the finish. $75 per person (includes tax & gratuity) Are you a wine club member?
