Sadly a pub that probably relies on tourists so doesn't feel the need to make too much effort. Food distinctly average. Arrived for our reservation at 7.30 and told kitchen closed in 15 mins so had to make order. At end of meal staff cleaning up around us and asked to move to another area of the pub even though obvious we were just finishing the last mouthfuls of our wine. Not a welcoming experience and would not return.

Great traditional pub, good atmosphere and good friendly service. Maybe we hit on a bad day as the cottage pie was poor. But hey.....we enjoyed the overall atmosphere and service, difficult times!

Didn't catch messsage about ordering at bar. Staff were pretty sullen. Food was OK...great chips. But having to go & collect drinks etc. felt more like a cafe than a restsurant. Not surprised it was so quiet.

Last minute Mother's Day booking for 8 of us. Was really pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. We all had different meals and they were all great!

The staff were great and food was decent, however we left after main course due to some other inconsiderate guests spoiling the evening by allowing their kids to use the restaurant as a playground and throw paper aeroplanes about, which hit us on numerous occasions

Nice venue with a great pub setting. The menu is a good selection, on our visit alot of the fish dishes were out of stock but was pleased with the hunterschicken schnitzel.. great value for the price. Not sure as if its due to low season but the bar had closed at 10pm..
