   We ordered 2 chicken stories, but received panko chicken, when queried they advised would change to what was ordered then came back and said no stotties would we have the original dish which we agreed to, but never really received an apology which was disappointing xx

   Absolutely lovely food, the service was great but the drinks are a little overpriced. Overall enjoyable experience.

   My mum and I had a lovely meal at Runa’s restaurant; it was quiet, and we had a lovely cosy booth table in the corner. My mum had the main’s portion of mussels, which came with prawn crackers and some fries, and she thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the Pan Fried Steamed Trout, which was also wonderful. We both had a dessert, (Crumble sundae and sticky toffee pudding) which were lovely. Josh, our server, had a great personality and gave us amazing service. He was polite, friendly and very attentive. We had a lovely evening and cannot recommend Runa enough! Thank you team!

   Never have I waited for food for so long in a place with so many staff and so few customers. It’s obviously a wedding venue and the restaurant is just a side gig as the restaurant food is ‘wedding meal fayre’ and you could tell that the puddings you were eating were the same ones that 100 people were having in the wedding hall - small portions and food designed to be plated up quick and served en masse. Staff were pleasant but inattentive and more concerned with chatting amongst themselves than serving and they had zero awareness of the guests experience. More plate carriers than front of house. Might be good for weddings but the restaurant feels like an afterthought where they shove the slowest staff and forget about it.

Whilst the venue is an extremely popular wedding venue, we are passionate about our restaurant and the last thing we would want is for you to feel as though we do not value your experience.    This was a mothers day outing to Runa farm, table booked for 17.00. Its a nice space, it seemed full and there was a good buzz about the place. The staff were very nice and helpful, but rushed for the obvious reason. The food was ok, but let down for not being hot. Large glasses of wine were expensive in our view.

   We were here for our friends wedding but it was also our first anniversary so we booked at table at the smithy before the party and just wanted to say thank you so much for the extra touches to help make our anniversary extra special.

   Had the spiced mussels & the croquette for starter. Mussels were excellent. Sirloin steak was excellent but the steak frites was average. Staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for you. Had a great time!

    The food is really good especially the whale abd chips, delicious. I do love Runa Farm as its where my husband and I got married 10 years ago when it was Jersey Farm The only downside for me is it's far too cold with barely any heating, and stone floors. I was baltic on Friday when I was there. Best to dress in something warm, socks, jumper etc I wore a nice dress with it being valentines and made the mistake of not wearing any tights, but I still think with tights unless they were wooly I'd have still been cold. It's pet friendly which is great if you love animals like we do. The staff work very hard, however when there's a wedding on, the smithy diners suffer a tad. We waited around 40 minutes for our desert and yet our main seemed to arrive within 10 - 15 minutes. I believe this us because the wedding evening reception had begun between our meals putting pressure on the staff. I would go back and would recommend as it's a lovely place but I'll dress more for the weather rather than the occasion next time 😆
