We had a reservation for 6:30 in the evening. Service was wonderful. Food was good, but the menu is very limited. The ambience and the surroundings were lovely.

My husband and I left hungry. Very little food, very expensive for what we got. No sides with the main entree were included, so we got the “twice baked fries” appetizer thinking that might fill out the meal...it was literally a small bowl of overcooked greasy shoestring fries and dipping sauce...for $12...a side of fries anywhere else would be a fraction of that price and is certainly just included with most entrees. The entree was a single cabbage leaf around a piece of salmon on some cream sauce cut into 3 pieces like 1/2 a sushi roll...could not have been more than 3-4 oz of salmon for $32. Had it had some rice or a potato of some kind and a side veg, it would have been a meal...but it did not. The server was very friendly, no complaint with her. The front desk was not - when we arrived the front desk person was on hold on the phone with someone but wouldn’t even make eye contact with us or point us in the direction we should go, and we stood their awkwardly until a hostess came to seat us. No greeting, no smile, or any indication of where we were supposed to wait. It was an overall disappointing experience for our anniversary dinner, we felt very taken advantage of as customers, and we won’t be returning.

Food was average at best. They are attempting to be a high end restaurant, at least with the prices, but not worth the trip! We had better food and service at a local spot for 1/3 the cost.

They have the best eggs benedict. We love going there for Sunday brunch. The view is spectacular and I enjoy the relaxed vibe.

The setting of the restaurant - especially for outdoor dining - is fantastic. A view of Seneca Lake and the eastern shore makes for a peaceful and relaxing dinner. The food we ordered was quite good (I had a 'Tuscan' fish stew that was delicious and my wife had pasta with the restaurant's version of Bolognese sauce which was very tasty) and the service was excellent. We finished the meal with a chocolate lava cake that was also very good. The restaurant offers a full bar and a selection of local wines, including many from Herman J Wiemer Vineyards - our absolute favorite wine maker.
