A 1910 factory repurposed as a coffee house and lounge, with an eclectic funky vibe; offering delicious gastro pub fare, from breakfast, to weekend brunches, to cocktails & dinner with live music!

Silk Factory is located in the heart of historic Newburgh. Originally constructed in 1910, our venue was used as a factory and through the process called “throwing silk,” silk cocoons were unraveled and woven into silk thread hence the building’s name, Silk Factory.

The 7 year restoration of this space paid the closest attention to detail and attempted to keep as much of the original architecture as possible. The end result is an elegant yet edgy, rich space filled with carefully curated antique furniture and art pieces sourced from all over the world.

The 1910’s factory building, now a spacious multi-story entertainment and event venue with an eclectic look. This is where people from all over the area come together and share culture through music, food and conversation.

Staff was excellent, friendly and very efficient. Food was great, large portion, though a little pricey, definitely worth it! Coffee was hot, fresh and delicious! Atmosphere was fantastic. We will be back again!

The atmosphere was wonderful and calm, and it was nice and quiet since there weren’t lots of people the night my girlfriend and I had dinner here. The service is fantastic and the music that was playing on a surround sound system was low enough to have conversation!

Staff is nice- hostess was very welcoming, great energy. Server was also very nice and attentive. Ambiance and set up is cool- but a spot I’ll only return to for drinks or apps- NOT food. Steak sandwich tasted like freezer burn, and no matter how much sauce added it couldn’t mask it. Cauliflower bites were good. Truffle fries are drenched in truffle oil- made us sick shortly after eating, and the chicken sandwich was also freezer burn chicken, dry as a bone, and they forgot the honey. The side salad was good though, and they followed directions to have dressing on the side. I’m not a hater, but after that experience, it’s a drink bar only for me.

Went in a first date there and we had a great time. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating. We changed out seats 2times and they were very happy to accommodate us.

The decor is unusual and very interesting. Love the pickup truck stage for the band. Reception at the front was friendly and welcoming. The only issue, as with any venue located in a city, was parking.

Great atmosphere/decor, live music at certain times, good use of an existing space. The food was a little hit and miss and on the pricey side. Some things were very good (burrata cheese, chicken sandwich, crispy cauliflower); others could use some improvement (prosciutto, fries, steak). I'd probably give it another try, since there were quite a few items on the menu that I'd like to sample and it's a fun place to hang out.

It was my wife and I first time experience the experience with awesome from how we were greeted from how the food was presented, to the owner explaining the history of the Silk factory, to our server, and to the energetic and polite young person who kept the dining experience clean and tidy with great ease and precision. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and we will at least visit the Silk Factory tory once a month

First time there. Atmosphere was great. Very whimsical. Jessica was a terrific host/waitress. Food was amazing. Bacon wrapped dates, chicken wings and crispy Brussel sprouts were excellent. My friend had smash burger and truffle fries…excellent. Definitely going back.

The food was delicious, the service was friendly but seemed slow for the amount of people dining. As a musician, I appreciated the live music. The singer was good but it was too loud. My friend and I had to yell across the table to each other. This was not the atmosphere we had anticipated for a Sunday brunch. Also, the "garage door" was open and we had to contend with the street noise...and the bees of which I am allergic. Overall , it was not the quiet, pleasant brunch we had planned. I will probably try again but not on a Sunday.
