   Not much atmosphere -- but we loved it. The menu is limited but everything was delicious. Staff is young and inexperienced -- but very nice. A great little place!

   Great food. Great service. But last times I've been there with my significant other, the owner's or chef's wife and kids are hanging out in one of the tables all night and the kids are loud, walking around the restaurant, and dropping food on floor. I have nothing against kids. Honestly. But it's not appropriate for a small restaurant like this. It ruins the atmosphere and ambiance for an otherwise wonderful place. I LOVE Solstice, wonderful entrees and tastes, but the atompshere has to change for me to return for dinner. Go for breakfast!

   Great local place with a casual friendly vibe. Comfort food featuring local farm to table. Even the beers were all from the MIdwest. Staff could not be friendlier. Shrimp and grits, po-boy and fried chicken were all excellent. Can't wait to come back for the bread pudding dessert.

   It was too pricey for a breakfast joint that served portions that were too small to get full on. Good cappuccino and beer though.

   Portions extremely small for cost. I ordered a salad and half order of the cavatappi. It was about 4 noodles. The salad that was $12! Was some cherry tomatoes and overlooked beans. It was barely dressed with salad dressing. Service was slow and they don't have a full bar.

   The menu in the restaurant was consistent with the one I found online. Solstice does, indeed, source things locally, providing me with some delicious blueberries and sweet green grapes from Michigan for the fruit accompaniment to my sandwich instead of the typical unripe melon pieces and pineapple that many restaurants provide during this season. Also, the sandwich and other offerings are creative combinations of ingredients, though nothing was really unfamiliar - just tasty and nicely prepared. I went for a weekday lunch, but I'm sure the weekend brunch would be worth trying as well.

    Both entrees we had were not cooked to order. The steak was sliced and clearly well done not medium. the chicken was dark dark dark brown, and inside was dry. we observed another table that ordered same, and their chicken was done as you would expect med brown. I was disappointed they brought the food out like that--signaling that the kitchen saw what they were sending out to the customer, but didn't care that the order was not acceptable. The manager did take 20% off the steak, and made another one, but oddly it came to the table as less than the amount I originally had. Kind of odd.
