Sonoma Wine Shop & La Bodega
This custom blend is just 180 cases of rich deep dark lusciousness. Touch of cocoa on the finish in case you aren't sure how smooth it is. Tempranillo is finding it's way into our California repertoire as a great addition for black fruited big reds like Cabernet Sauvignon
Harvest View 'Optical Illusion' - This is a luscious blend of cabernet, merlot and zinfandel from Dry Creek Valley and other Sonoma County vineyards. A very few barrels were selected and carefully mixed to ensure the resulting blend would excel. The resulting wine is scrumptious - balancing fruit with structure and intensity with suppleness. What does that all mean? Not quite sure but it sure goes down easy. "A wine glass is never half empty - its always full of good memories."
This wine was grown on top of Calistoga road, in the forest bordering Napa and Sonoma County. This Mountain Ranch Road vineyard is tucked away in the hills, obscured by the trees, yet produces excellent conditions for hilltop Cabernet Sauvignon. The earthy soils provides the fruit with the clear scent of cedar, producing a deeply aromatic wine that emphasizes complexity, not just fruit
Fantastic release from Sonoma Coast! Beautiful! This 100 case release Pinot Noir is from 2 main Pinot Noir areas of Sonoma County - Sonoma Mountain (Crane Vineyard) and Sonoma Coast (Russian River). The resulting blend consists of Pinot Noir from 5 different winemakers! A drier pinot noir, with nice spice, dark cherried fruit and touch of earth. Not jammy or sweet, this wine is also a bit lower in alcohol than many California Pinot Noirs at 13.9%. With good acidic structure, it can age for 5-10 years. Decant it for 30 minutes if drinking from 2016-2018
