Von der OpenTable-Redaktion: Originally from Torreon, Mexico, Eater Austin’s 2018 chef of the year and 2024 James Beard semifinalist Fermín Núñez celebrates his passion for handmade masa at Suerte. It’s the foundation for tacos, tostadas, and more stuffed with everything from duck carnitas to goat barbacoa and drizzled with a host of salsas. True to laidback Austin, it’s all served in a space with light woods and exposed brick walls alongside plenty of mezcal cocktails and natural wine.

Fabulous! The server was knowledgeable in the food and guided us to some really wonderful food pairings. We will surely be back!

Suerte Tacos were amazing as well as the Peaches y Feta. A great pairing indeed. Had the Barbacoa tacos last time I was there which was even better! This place lives up to the hype and is a memorable experience for foodies. The staff is extremely professional and the restaurant attracts amazing patrons.

This place was fire. Highly recommend. Made reservations last minute, and we were so happy with the decision! The vibes were cool, the service great and quick. we sat on the porch which is nice to see everything going on 6th St! The guac, wagyu tacos, and carnitas were all 10/10!

All the food is outstanding! Noise level was ridiculously too high but it's hard to not be in an interior like that !

Awesome food! Great service too. They have mocktail ls as well for the non drinkers. It is a bit loud though.

We went to Suerte to celebrate our 40th wedding Anniversary. My wife has a severe seafood allergy. We alerted them ahead of time and they were so accommodating and it was a relief for her to not have to worry about it on our special night. They made the night feel very special. We started out with Suadero Tacos, which they kindly altered to accommodate her allergies, because so many people who had been to Suerte said we had to make a point of ordering those. We were blown away. So much flavor. And just when we thought it couldn't get any better we then had the Barbacoa. And wow. How they get such amazing flavors in these tacos is a wonder. We also had the Peaches Y Feta which was light and unlike any type of peach dish I've ever eaten. It had a flavor profile I would never have thought to put together but definitely worked. They then brought us out some sort of smoked carrot dish. I am usually not a fan of cooked carrots but I loved these so much. After so much food we shared a dessert of the Tres Leche cake. It has these little slightly crunchy flavor balls added to it that I have no idea what they were, but we loved and as my wife described it as a lovely surprise. To say that we enjoyed our food and had a wonderful dining experience for Anniversary is an understatement. Ian, the manager and Nick, our server took such wonderful care of us. Our thanks to the entire staff for a wonderful, memorable evening.
