Sehr schönes Ambiente. Very british. Sensationelle Lage. Essen sehr gut. Sogar englischer Wein ist auf der karte. Rundum zufrieden

The ambience was great. The service was excellent, but the food was a bit pretentious and I personally did not enjoy my roast chicken dinner, veg too hard including the roast potatoes, the Yorkshire pudding was very air, the chicken was a bit dubious as it was a bit red near the bone, so did not eat tge drumstick, I had a tummy upset the next day. We would go for a drink there, but not food I'm afraid. It was also strange to have steak for a child's meal, never had the chicken schnitzel as they do not do this on Sundays, but it was on the menu, children were disappointed.

This place is in a fantastic location, bang on the riverside with great outside space. The food was ok but a bit on the pricey side for a pub. The parking can be horrific with small spaces. Apart from that, a great atmosphere.

My husbands birthday was made to feel very special by the staff on duty. Monday 19th May @ 1pm. The 2 men one serving behind the bar & helping out waiting along with the really nice Hubert the waiter went out of their way to make our time very enjoyable. We were very well looked after, not rushed at all, it was a very pleasant experience. The food,drink & service was all excellent! Thank you very much.

Have eaten here lots of times over the past 10 years, as a central point between London/Bristol with friends. Today was a special bday which I mentioned on the booking, no recognition of it though. We ate outside, lovely. Starter was excellent - camembert to share. There was then a really long delay for mains. When they arrived, the roast chicken quarter was completely cold inside, and slightly pink. The plate went back, but the gravy boat did not, so the meal was then hot but not the gravy. I had roast lamb which was lovely but the lamb was quite cold, as was the ham in our third order. We think all the meat was plated up then forgotten about, hence the delay, with the hot veg added later? Watch out as 12.5% service is added to the order automatically. We noted the table next to us also sent their burger back as it was cold, so not sure what was going on today. Non-alcoholic cocktails nice but expensive (over £7), 2 of those, a soda water, 2 x diet cokes, 1 x bitter coffee, 1 x shared starter and 3 x roasts came to about £135 so it’s expensive. Staff are lovely, venue is fab and food overall great but unnecessarily spoilt by being left to sit around and go cold.

My husband found the choices limited. Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and efficient. Very good portion size. Limited parking but staff signalled us to park just by the door. Very pleased and looking forward to going back- with our dog!

So beautiful renovated! This pub will be a hit in summer and winter! Beautiful setting for the summer and lots of cosy fire lit rooms in the winter. Service was excellent - well done!

Overall a good experience however they didn’t have mint sauce for a lamb toast dinner so it would have been good to know that in advance as we would have ordered something else. However we did have a lovely meal and would definitely go again.
