Welcome to Taco District, a culinary gem nestled in the vibrant heart of Peekskill, NY, founded by Hever and Dina Palacios. Drawing on their passion for authentic flavors and their commitment to culinary excellence, the Palacios duo embarked on a journey to bring the essence of upscale Guatemalan-Latin fusion cuisine to our beloved community.

Taco District was born from Hever and Dina Palacios’ deep-rooted love for Guatemalan cuisine and their desire to expand the culinary landscape of Peekskill. Building on their success with Iron Vine Tapas Bar and Restaurant, the Palacios envisioned a place where locals and visitors alike could experience the refined flavors and warm hospitality of Guatemala in an upscale setting.

    Fave New Mexican restaurant in an accessible location in Peekskill NY. The vibe is unmatched-from the decor to the atmosphere-the rooftop dining is where it’s at!!

    We were a party of four. We had Guacamole with tostadas, Quesadilla with chicken, and the Asada, Birria, Caipirinha and Portabella tacos. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced.

    This was our first visit to Taco District and they didn’t disappoint. We started with a delicious quacame with a mild green sauce and ver spicy red, great combo. These were followed by a huge Gambas al Ajillo and excellent Carne Asada with sweet plantains. The margaritas and Continum drinks were well priced and great accompaniment to our meal. Service was prompt and very pleasant. Looking forward to our next visit.

    We love this place but the service and food were off the night we went. Ordered the chicken quesadilla. Came out soggy and full of liquid in the plate. Bartender was working to his utmost but servers were slow in picking up drinks and asking us about replenishment. Ate most of our dinner without a beverage and restaurant lost money from alcohol service. We’ll be back but hope not to experience this again

    Everything was amazing. It’s such a cool place to go. The food was outstanding and every single person that worked there had a smile on their face. I can’t wait to go back!

    The food was AMAZING . could not deicide what to get , so i will be back to try other dishes . staff was amazing so friendly and able to answer all my questions , i did not have a cocktail this visit , but looked wonderful so i will be back , I live 1 hour away but so worth the trip

    We went here before a show at The Paramount theater, and everything was amazing! Staff was friendly, courteous, and also helped be mindful of time for our show. The food was delicious - we had pork belly bites (comes with guac!) and the birria empanadas to start, Carne Asada and Steak fajitas as entrees, and churros and Flan for dessert. Everything was excellent!
