   Our experience at Tartare was phenomenal! The tuna and avocado tartare was a revelation—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I was a touch disappointed to miss the iconic violin-playing chef, but the service was stellar: fast, friendly, and attentive. We chose the three-course menu, and every dish shone. My beef Wellington was a masterpiece, with tender, juicy beef in crisp pastry, ranking among my top three steaks ever. The crème brûlée was divine, with a crisp sugar crust and creamy custard. My wife’s seared tuna starter was vibrant and expertly prepared, and her chocolate ganache was rich and indulgent. Tartare’s elegant yet welcoming vibe made the night special. We’re definitely coming back—hopefully to catch that violin performance!

   We dined for my wife’s birthday. There was the holiday menu since it was the day before Easter. Service was outstanding. Each dish was beautifully plated and delicious. The owner/chef came out at the end of the evening to play violin and speak with all the diners. Our favorite restaurant in the Sand Hills!!!!

   We found tha prices higher and the food quality lower than previous visits - not a good combination! We probably will not return. Disappointing experience.

   Outstanding food and I like the. Table d’hote style menu which had a good variety of dishes. Only disappointment was lack of espresso to finish my meal.

   Tartare and Chef George - you never disappoint! We've had a busy winter and haven't been in for a bit. Having dinner there this week, I can assure you we'll be back to our more regular visits! The food is always spot-on perfection, Puck was wonderful as he always is, and we couldn't have asked for one thing to be better. Definitely check out this hidden treasure in Pinehurst!

   We ordered one of the beef tartares as an appetizer. Excellent! I had beef tenderloin as my entree. Excellent!! Our waiter was attentive and very nice answering all questions. Atmosphere was very quiet. On the downside, even though there is a bar, there was no bartender that night so no liquor was available. I know sometimes things come up that can’t be helped. I hope this is not a regular occurrence. If so, that would be too bad for a high-end restaurant like this. That’s why only 4 stars. Also, I’d heard there was someone who played a violin there. We went on a Tuesday and there was no music. Maybe it’s only on weekends

    Entering restaurant greeted us with eclectic style... 4th July decor hanging on outside of door, easter decor in entrance on floor with french decor on walls and some holiday light strands on a wall. Dining experience was nice. Food quality was good and everyone enjoyed their meal. Dinner was a three course for $70 or $90 per person that included tartare or appetizer, main and a dessert. Ambiance was just ok. Server friendly. Courses paced appropriately at first. Only 3 tables, but main course to table felt quite long. Menu had an option for most; items were a bit pricey for area. Nice dinner for a quiet setting.
