   We’ve been to Brass onion numerous times but this was our first time on Mothers Day. The food was great as usual but they were so backed up and running out of some food items. We understand days like this can get hectic, however our waiter Daniel may have been very overwhelmed as his communication with the delays were very minimal to not at all. Things started off well but we waited 2 hours plus to receive our food. Our reservation was at 3pm and we ate around 530p. Again, we understand things happen but he just didn’t even tell us of any updates, we just sat there and had to track down other servers to receive any service.

   We waited at our table to be waited on for over 20 minutes- got water no drinks so ordered our food right away. Waited ovee an hour for food. The food was good but were starving by the time it arrived. My husband's order was wrong but afraid to send back. It was Mother's Day so very busy.

   It took quite a while to be greeted by our server when we were seated at our table. After 10 mins, the hostess came over to give us water and a waitress came by 5 mins after that to see if anyone had stopped by yet, turns out she was our server. While I understand it was quite busy, we did a lot of waiting without being checked in on. When our food came, we had to wait again to be checked on, had to ask for butter and jelly of which when we got was a very very small portion, and our table got the short rib hash which barely had short rib at all on it so had to ask for more. Overall, seemed like the restaurant was very short staffed which is surprising as it was Mother’s Day and a crowd should be expected.

   We cancelled our reservations for the Derby Party because it was totally misrepresented. There were not going to be any tables. We were told a few chairs would be around the room. You were just going to be standing around to watch the race. I had (I thought) booked a table for 4. So basically ordering any kind of food was out of the question. To be fair, it did state that one drink was included and some appetizers. For a total of $54 we didn't think the value was there.

   We had a great meal and our server was terrific! Very interactive and friendly. Drinks and food arrived in a timely manner and everything was excellent.

   Great date night at Brass Onion. Seating was as requested, off to the side and quiet. I had a lovely classic martini and chef's featured beef medallions. Service was excellent.

   It's a super nice place for a date night. The ambience is nice, the waitress was super friendly, although not having a lot of costumers that night, she sometimes took quite some time to check in on us. The food was delicious, but my beef short ribs were a bit on the dry side. Overall it was a nice experience.

   I’m not sure the chef knows how to prepare green vegetables-the collard greens didn’t even have salt and pepper on them! No flavor or taste at all. While good, some of the fried chicken was undercooked and had to be sent back. We didn’t complain and tried to make the best of it. The price was fair, but in looking back, I feel our meal should have been comped as it was 3 of us who sent back their chicken. Service was to be expected, she had to keep going back to get things to pack up our leftover food to Go-didn’t think to provide a bag to put the food in so we had to ask .

    The food came quick and hit! Very flavorful and large portions of chicken for the Mr. Bs entree I ordered. The sides and cornbread were amazing as well!
