The Crown is in the heart of Lynton Village, situated between Exmoor National parks and the Valley of the Rocks near to the Cliff Railway that runs between Lynton and Lynmouth.
From hearty breakfasts, to light snacks, lunches, and evening meals, we offer good value, honest home-cooked food.

Our classic bar menu offers all the usual favourites, a selection of salads, jacket potatoes, sandwiches through to fish and chips, lasagne, scampi and freshly topped pizzas. We don't forget the kids too. We have a great range of all their favourite dishes.

Food arrived cold, when brought to the attention of the waiter apologies offered with a fresh dish. What arrived 1 minute later it was a heated up version of the original meal with cold garlic bread. No one checked if this was ok, it wasn’t so we left it with the dirty plates. On paying the bar staff weren’t interested what a shame the Crown has completely gone down hill, cancelled our subsequent reservation for Monday but again no one cared!

Free parking, Staff service is excellent, ambience good, food for me is satisfactory, we are all different when it comes to commenting on food!

Enjoyed the food and the waiter service was very good. The one black mark was that they allow dogs and a neighbouring table had three of them, and they were constantly yappy (the dogs that is).

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 course meal here this evening. Large portions, tasty and well cooked. The service was wonderful, they couldn't have done more for us. The restaurant area had a lovely atmosphere. We really enjoyed our evening would highly recommend. The local gin is lovely as well!

Sat in dining room , lovely space, nice decor, nice ambience.. Service was good, there was 6 of us but 2 arrived first. They served us drinks whilst waiting on the others. They promptly served the others on arrival. Took our menu orders shortly after. Few of us had starters. My husband and I had the seafood sharer to start , really tasty. One had halloumi , said very nice. One had prawn cocktail said was very good. One had falafel, which came with pitta and hummus, said very tasty.. I had the beef burger , decent burger, comes with chips . Husband had the chicken burger , said it was very good. Two others had lasagne said it was very good but a little overloaded with cheese on the top, but I guess that’s just a preference.. The others had burgers and very happy.. Overall not a bad meal . If you’re looking for Michelin starred food this is not the place to come ; but if you want a nice tasty meal at a reasonable price it’s worth dropping by. They also had live music going on outside if you wanted to stay after and enjoy a drink or two. Do book though as get busy.

Go there for one of the best Sunday lunches you'll ever have. A lovely restaurant tucked away behind a friendly pub with a great atmosphere. Restaurant had a great ambience, lovely decoration and welcoming staff.
