   Had a lovely evening meeting new friends at the Harrow on Saturday night. Food was great and a nice atmosphere

   Appaling Reminds me of the good old bad days of the 60’s Gives a BA bad reputation to a Sunday roast !!!!

   We had the 2 course set menu, the fish cake was ok but the potatoes tasted very bad, as though they had been re-heated several times, I just couldn’t eat them, and my green beans I think had been microwaved and were very over cooked and dried out My friend’s pizza was very disappointing. Neither of us feel that we will be returning to the Harrow. The staff were friendly but the food was very very poor

   We booked our table for 19:15, but weren’t seated until 30 minutes later. We waited a while for the starter and I asked the waiter for some bread as my young son was starving, the starters arrived, but no bread. I had the scallops which were about 4 tiny ones in a tasteless tomato sauce, apparently there was a surcharge for this, outside of the Mother’s Day set menu. I had planned on having the steak or roast beef main, but both were sold out so I had the pork belly roast, which was ok. Again there was a long wait for our mains, around 25 minutes and just before they arrived, the bread I asked for, a second time arrived. I had apple pie with custard and icecream, again ok. The service was polite and pleasant, however the long waiting times were annoying, but I appreciate it was Mother’s Day, so very busy. I’m unlikely to go again as the food was very average.

   The refurb is lovely but it’s a shame that roast dinners haven’t improved compared to the Horseshoe

   Service was great plus sitting outside on a sunny evening! Food was ok but nothing special. Only negative was all the glasses needed cleaning or polishing....

   Very very disappointed with this venue as it was Father’s Day and we booked the table 3hrs before we left we received a confirmation for our booking to be told on arrival that there’s no table for us and it was due to this app I’d used which either way it wasn’t our fault but then we had to find somewhere else at now 3:30 pm on Father’s Day. So obviously won’t be back here but looked really nice apart from that.

   I haven't been to the Harrow in over a year (when service was very bad). It is under new management now and me and my family were very impressed. It was excellent friendly service from our waitress Natasha, and they were very accommodating with our young children. The food was really tasty and great value. A few of us had the roast which was of a great standard and I had the rump steak which was amazing. We will definitely returning soon.

    After two enjoyable visits this one was a let down. A loud fire alarm kept going off at intervals. The lighting at our table was terrible, my two companions couldn't read the menu. One of my friends returned their meal, it was inedible. The waitress tried hard to make up for the disappointment but it was impossible. I'd hoped to introduce my friends to an excellent eating place instead it was an embarrassment. At least the returned meal was taken off the bill.
