Nestled on the back streets of Kensal Rise, The Island has undergone a major change and has been repositioned as a stylish pub/brasserie . The 60 covers on the 1st floor dining room focuses on seasonal local produce with its open kitchen and undulating seating areas thriving in NW10. A large front terrace perfect during the summer with ale fresco dining & all day sun for up to 70 covers. A small bar area on the ground floor, complimented with a lower ground seating area (The Snug) will serve a range of cask ales, premium spirits, continental lagers and an extensive wine list.

Great service fabulous food - Camembert sharer was a dream and the seabass lovely. Wine list good and reasonable. Staff just lovely. Recommended.

Very nice option in Kensal Rise. On a quiet street, it is a lovely place, with some creative food (mac & cheese croquettes were great) and a few of the favourites (fish & chips). Very good quality food overall at reasonable prices. Plates are very well served, so be prepared!

This is a local gem for us. We have been coming here for years to watch the rugby and grab after work drinks. However this was the first time I had booked the island for a function. I planned a surprise birthday gathering for my boyfriend and the Island staff accommodated us wonderfully. We were seated downstairs which was intimate and quiet but was also reachable distance from the bar so (which is very important). We were looked after extremely well and will be booking future functions here. I would recommend this pub to anyone.

Mostly service and food were good. Menu was not accurate - and beef pie was served instead of chicken but customer not told, even at service. While still good it wasn't what was order. One of our hosts was amazing.

Overall I had a nice time. Our waitress/server was incredible she really tried her best to accommodate us and had the hard job of announcing that they had run out of roasts dinners by 4pm. I was pretty angry about this. The lady explained that the island were extremely busy with bookings but on a sunday to run out of roasts is pretty dire. The main I ended up having was pretty mediocre and i was reluctant to pay service charge because the quality was naff, however had it not been for the lovely lady serving us I wouldn't have. Probably wouldn't book a table here again although it's my local.

Nice environment . Portions were small and pricey for a pub . No recommendable if you have dietary requirements : Vegan. Nice place to gather with friends

They forgot our booking but luckily found some tables and pushed them together. I'd tried calling to confirm the day before and they NEVER answer the phone. It was okay, but not a destination pub

Although we had a booking they were not expecting us. They had run out of the majority of things on the menu and therefore we decided to leave. Although disappointed to begin with, it worked out well in the end as we went to the chamberlain instead which was really lovely and I highly recommend
