The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Dartmouth Crossing
This is a very nice resturaunt, you are immediately greeted and taken to your table. The server we had was extraordinary and very knowledgeable. The price was a good value for the meal, had plenty to eat. The prime rib was delisious.
Very surprised that there was no Prime Rib available. Not a good sign especially for a new restaurant. My steak was fine but not what I wanted.
Great meal, friendly and attentive staff. Will recommend
Awesome experience. Food was amazing and service was great!
the reception was nice but on having a coffee and not being offered a refill and not being offered a coffee after the meal to finish off with was not correct, in our opinion. It was very noisy and difficult to have a conversation.
The new steak special was amazing. I have a new favorite.
Although we had made reservations well in advance, and the restaurant was not full, We were seated at a terrible table. It was like eating in the middle of a highway. Continuing foot traffic by our table from patrons and staff. So distracting we ate quickly and left. Server was good as was the food, however could not enjoy it with all the activity and noise around us.
Excellent service, food and all round great experience. 1st time at this KEG location and is
very close to all the shops and hotels in Dartmouth Crossing and great for parking and great open
Friend birthday everything was awesome
Waiter was awesome! Best service we have ever had!! Thank you Declan O. We Will be back!!
Great service, apps, meal, and beverages. Highly recommend this location of The Keg!
Great service! Waiter was attentive and food delicious
Overall our dinner was lovely. We had a spacious table for four people plus our 7 month old baby. We felt welcomed and well taken care of. Food was delicious. The only thing is our table area was quite dark so my father found it hard to read the menu.
The food was good. But what really impressed us was the owner who came around and made sure everything was good. We found that classy.
We have been to the Keg before. We always liked the food and this time was no different. The service was very good until we ordered dessert and then it lagged. Overall it was a very good meal and we will definitely go again sometime.
Our server, Patrick, was phenomenal! Made our experience that much more enjoyable! Overall, everything was great. Excellent food, atmosphere and wonderful new location.
My husband always orders the Sirloin Oscar. He noted that his order on Nov 1/19 was quite tough.
The steaks were delicious. Hamburger was great. The appetizers were wonderful (we had both roasted tomatoes and brie).
Very limited vegetarian options - there was only one 'casual' item on the list and a couple of salads.
Service was ok - we didn't mention that we had a bit of a time crunch, so things were a bit slower than we'd expected, but that was on us. (we allowed about 1.25 hours, which wasn't enough time).
The server forgot to request our appetizers from the kitchen. He offered to bring them with the mains, which I declined, but then he brought them anyway (a few minutes after the mains arrived). It turned out to be good, because the vegetarian enjoyed them much more than the couscous that was her main dish.
Overall, the experience was good - we will go back again when we don't have the vegetarian with us.
Birthday. Food and service was excellent.
Servers and staff were excellent. However I requested a side of fries but never did receive them and my steak was med well instead of med...but delicious even so. My favorite place to dine for many years now! If I could afford it I'd dine weekly...
Excellent! Will be back. Perfect birthday supper for my hubby.
We booked the keg for our elopement dinner and weren't disappointed! The ambiance was beautiful, the wine was excellent, and the steaks were outstanding!
Our entire group loved their meals! Our server was amazing! She was very pleasant and attentive. The restaurant went above and beyond for our group, in celebration of our nuptuals. We have already decided to celebrate our anniversary at The Keg. Highly recommend.
It was superior. Couldn’t ask for better. We will definitely be returning in the coming weeks.
Didn’t like that our reservation time was over looked and people who had later reservations were seated before us, despite I had checked in. Extremely loud, not a good place to dine if you are looking for a quiet relaxing evening. Food was good but not worth the value of the money you pay for it. The wait staff was amazing, very personable which I liked. I gave 4 stars based upon the wait staff who were outstanding. Disappointed with the noise and the reservation being over looked, though they were quick to rectify once I told them.
We were here for the first time celebrating our wedding anniversary.
All the staff were polite & smiling which always makes for a good
Experience. We would ask for a different table next time as sitting
In a corner table near the kitchen which was distracting. Overall
Extremely satisfied & will be returning.
It was a great meal and great service. Will definitely be back!
Our meal was Spot-On!! Delishes! Great timing, waiter Chad F was amazing! Definitely will be back 😃
We love the keg. Only problem we had this time was steak was over cooked.
The meal (steak) was very salty, to much spice on the striplon.
Busy, noisy, crappy table, had to send steak back twice because it was raw when I ordered medium..food was rushed..barely finished salad and main course was there. Prices a bit steep but that’s the Keg I guess. Lots of business men and women and big groups so pretty noisy. I think that’s the demographic they are trying to attract and get you in and out as quick as possible. Not sure I’d recommend it or hurry back. Bar does look nice, maybe just a drink would be a better option. Then again no Rosé offered on the menu..
This was our first time at the new Keg but won't be our last. We found the overall look and ambience very good and the service superb. The food was very good and staff were willing to try something new with my meal. It turned out delicious. Steak was done perfectly for the others at our table. Pricing was a little high so this will be a special occasion restaurant for us.
Food was amazing, and the customer service was exceptional.
This has been the 5 th time at this restaurant and we thoroughly loved it
Our server was excellent. The food was very good. My wife's steak was ordered medium rare and was a little more cooked than she would have preferred but was still very good. Our server offered to get her another one but my wife declined. My son ordered a Keg burger and it didn't come with as many fries as he would have liked.
Complete dining experience..couldn't have been better! Food never disappoints.
We took friends from Lunenburg as a thank you for their kindness to our family this summer. I picked The Keg because you can always depends on the great food, service. We had a party of six and everyone loved the food. We thought we got our money's worth and we were seated as soon as we arrived and the waiter Declan, employee # 83 took the time to go over the menu and explain everything to us. The only word I have to explained our evening was wonderful.
Felt rushed from the moment we sat down. Asked about entrees while I'm looking at the wine list. Waiter never filled up wine during supper. Ordered 3 appetizers and salads came literally 2 minutes after. Ordered a medium rare steaks and it came well done. Waiter never came back to table until everyone was half way done their meals. He took my steak back and I got my replacement when everyone was done their meal.
Got home to find out that I was billed for my replacement steak. Went in the following day and spoke with the bar manager who refunded the steak and gave me a 25 gift card for a future visit. For a $300 meal, not sure if that is incentive enough for me to return there.
Also, I ticked the box for "celebration" for the reservation hoping someone would have been prompted to ask what we were celebrating. Our guest at dinner just signed an NHL contract with the Anaheim Ducks and our plan was to do a photo at the table and a check-in at the Keg on Facebook and post what we were celebrating. Unfortunately, it never came up and the quality of service spoiled the mood throughout the meal. Too bad.
Food was very good; service was as well. Portion sizes small relative to price.
I made a reservation for 6pm Saturday evening. Arrived a bit early and only wanted a very short period and my table was ready. Service was amazing food was absolutely delicious. It was an all around wonderful dining experience.
This KEG has just opened and may need some time to find its way. Our food was only fair to good - the filet mignon ordered medium rare came totally grey inside, the twice baked potato was burned black on the top, the blue cheese "crust" on top of the filet was absolutely ghastly. To be fair the filet was tasty and tender just overcooked. Salads were good, bread, water service, table setting, etc was all very good. Our server was attentive and friendly. This is not an inexpensive outing e.g. the filet with blue cheese crust on top is $48. We had a reservation and felt sorry for the hordes of people crowding in the lobby and outside the front door who didn't. One thing I found off-putting was the young lady who was on patrol through our area about every five minutes carrying an ipad. Her function seemed to be to see how close each table was to finishing. If that is her function she could have been more discreet and got info from the servers at the server station. When we are spending a couple of hundred dollars for a meal the last thing we want is to feel pressured to hurry up and get out. We probably will go back to the KEG sometime but it may be after a while. Let them work out the kinks.
