The Melting Pot - El Paso
Jacqueline who was only a few days on the floor did a great job, and the young men serving as busers were also very polite and professional! The food was delicious as well!
Food was excellent as always. Service was very disappointing. Extremely slow service, mixed up broth base and first round of drinks did not taste good. Last round of drinks were phenomenal.
Not what it used to be. We have gone to a few around the country. Very loud and far from a fine dining experience. Waitress spilled a drink, never came back to clean it. Food was just okay. Way over priced for the amount of food you get. Even ran out of cheese... probably won't be back
The staff was out standing are server kayla was amazing took vary good care of us and helped us decide on are meal. This was are first time
Arrived a little before our reservation and were seated right away. Our 2 guest were got in traffic on Hawkins and arrived 15 minutes later. Our waitress took our drink and appetizer order while we waited or our guests. Once they arrived she took their drink order and let us look at the menu. We where a little lost as it was our first time and she guided us through the menu. We all loved our food and said we would come again. We had a wonderful meal and enjoyed our service. We would recommend this for anyone wanting to try something new with good food.
Its something new. However service was slow and took almost 20 minutes to get my drink.
Great experience, food and service.
Great service and they have a great late night happy hour.
It was a very good experience, especially for my mother who celebrated her birthday. Special shout out to our server, Kayla, she was really jolly and helpful.
My first experience to melting pot was in Oklahoma City 10 years ago and it was a very intimate setting perfect for date night. This one is more a sports bar experience kind of. The food was great but definitely not the atmosphere we expected
Very good food very nice experience. Date night, party etc perfect setting
Took my family and they loved the food and the service!!!
Good first experience with fondue. Food wad good but nothing special. Waitress was good. Overall fun, but probably won't go back
Had THE BEST time! Our server(s) were extremely knowledgeable about the menu and how everything works, and were so polite and helpful! The only thing that we were bummed about was timing...waiting 10 minutes for a drink etc. the foods not even cooked not sure what took so long Lol! But everything and everyone else was amazing!
Our server was Brianna; she was great! The food & service were both great. No issues!
The food and drinks are all good! You may feel like the portions aren't going to be enough to fill you up however you may not even finish dessert. Great, if you would like to experience something different.
Unique dining experience at a descent price, particularly during happy hour.
Menu is confusing and waitress did not do a good job of explaining it to us as we were first time visitors to the restaurant. Also, menu is overpriced for the portion of each meal
I loved the experience. Food arrive promptly and was great.
I love the atmosphere of the place! Everyone so happy! The loved seeing both owners helping out with the load it says a lot to me! Will be back soon!
You must be willing to enjoy yourself to go here. One must be willing to let go of the world outside and just let yourself be intrigued by this unique experience. We loved it and enjoyed it to the max. The waitress made sure we experienced the fullest of things. I highly recommend The Melting Pot ! The 4 course meal was excellent! Thank you for a beautiful delight !
Father Daughter Valentine's dinner
One word, fantastic. However if I left it at one word then I would not be doing it justice. The restaurant is fabulous, staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The fondue was outstanding and the salad deliciously fresh. The shrimp was fantastic, the tenderloin and Filet Mignon were exquisite.. Finally, the milk chocolate fondue was to die for. Yummy. Mmm, mmm, good. I highly recommend it to all my fellow chocoholics. The Melting Pot has truly become one of my favorite places to eat. Kudos Melting Pot, job well done.
Great food and service throughout our dinning experience.
Setting, service, and food was all outstanding. The food actually surpassed my expectations. My wife and I both were returning customers on this visit, and although the food has always been good; the food was exceptionally great on this visit! Our waitress was fantastic, the chef actually stopped by our table to check on us and give recommendations, and the owner himself had a word with us. My wife and my best friend's wife were both surprised at the attention our table received along with the flower pedals and teddy bears. It was a great Valentine's night out, and we look forward to another visit very soon!
I made reservations for 830 pm a month in advance for Valentine's Day. I ordered the complete Valentines package of a private booth, flowers, balloons, stuff animal, chocolate covered strawberries, and a photo. The cost was over $200 and was not a problem.
Problems I had:
1. Did not get a private booth, got a small table up by the busiest part of the restaurant, right by the kitchen and prep area. Could not hear my date speak.
2. The table had 6 dried up rose petals instead of roses. I was ashamed to sit there.
3. When reserving I explained we both have seafood allergies and do not drink alcohol. We were served Shrimp and an alcoholic beverage before we even unwrapped our napkins.
4. Our first waitress we did not see for 22 minutes to correct this. A busboy came to our table with two salads, our first course of cheese fondue and more shrimp. I asked if he was our waiter and he said he is the busboy.
5. After another 22 minutes of not seeing our waitress I asked for a manager, he promptly reassigned us a new waiter Jeff, or so I thought. Our drinks were replaced by watermelon non-alcohol drinks, that was cool, he took our two plates of shrimp away. But the old waitress showed up with our 2nd course and had a terrible attitude followed by an amped up accent we could not understand. The table was so small and with a salad and pates of two courses I was forced to set the balloons, stuffed animal on the floor to make room.
6. I asked to purchase another set of chocolate covered strawberries and the waitress who was no longer to be our waitress instead gave them to the couple next to us. I even asked the new assigned waiter Jeff for them and he forgot.
I have dined at the Tampa Bay, Miami, Orlando, and the Spokane locations and have never had such a horrible experience. What was once the most romantic restaurant in the world is now as romantic as Dave & Busters. Not worth the 3 hour drive, nor the $260 plus tip. Reservations a month in advance.
We just had a great time again with a friend that had not been there before. Service as good and the food was good as it has always been. Been there 5 times since it opened in El Paso. Willl be back again. Thanks
My reservation could not be found and the service was horrible. For our first time at a restaurant like this, the waiter should have been able to answer any and all of our questions/concerns about the dinning experience The Melting Pot offers. most of the food has alcohol in it. I can not have alcohol and expressed it to our waiter. Our final course was a chocolate fondue, and as soon as it was placed on our table our waiter lit a shot of Bacardi 151 and proceeded to pour it into the fondue. It showed me that our waiter did not listen to our concerns. The meal/experience was not worth the price we paid. We left extremely disappointed with the entire evening.
Very attentive and helpful wait staff. Less intimate than some, tvs from bar visible to whole restaurant.
The Melting Pot was absolutely wonderful dinning experience. Make sure to have enough time to enjoy the experience, ~3 hrs for a 4 course meal. Well worth the time and money.
Made a reservation and still had to wait (understandable). When we were finally seated we were taken outside with the temperature being 50 degrees and windy. Waited 15-20 mins and the server still hadn't arrived to take our drink order. Ended up leaving. Very poor service.
Too noisy; chaotic service; too labor intensive for servers; menu too complicated; process too long
Its a great experience for never having done it. I think the prices are definitely a bit high between 2 of us and 6 glasses of wine it was almost $100 in just wine (especially the brand I drank Decoy by Duckhorn is maybe $22 a bottle at the grocery store); then another $100 in food. Glad El Paso has a place like this but not sure if I'd make it a regular thing. Management was very nice and the wait staff was friendly too
Waitress talked so low we couldn't hear her. She spilled water on table and we had to clean it with napkin then she got irritated that we asked for a new napkin. Cheese was decent but not at all up to par with other melting pot restaurants. The skewers were cold and the meat was stuck to skewer that when I tried to pull it off the whole skewer went flying. The music was ridiculously loud. It's usually a nice relaxing evening when we visit the melting pot. This visit was stressful and upsetting. Not a fan of the "new" melting pot. It's sad, been a fan for years!
Wonderful dinner with a patient, caring wait staff that makes your experience wonderful! This is definitely a once-in-a-while "occasion" type of restaurant. You pay for the experience, not the portions of food. Ordered the green chile cheese fondue with charcuterie board, classic steak, and chocospresso fondue for dessert. Delicious. Come between 5pm-7pm for happy hour prices.
The cheese fondue was warm but not hot - that's why I didn't put 5 stars. But it tasted good even just warm We had a GREAT waiter. There was a wonderful presentation for the chocolate fondue. Truly enjoyed the meal.
We had a reservation for 9. We weren’t seated till 940. Our waiter never showed up. Order wasn’t taken until 10:15 and then again at 10:30 and then again at 1035. There was problem after problem. What a horrible experience.
It took 3 1/2 from start to finish which is way too long for dinner. The waiter would disappear to 20-30 minutes at a time. Not once were we offered a refill on our drinks and when we asked for a refill, he would forget and wouldn't come back. We had to clear our own table to make room for the next part of the meal cause no one else would and the plates were just piling up. The music is so loud that we had to shout to hear each other. We could have dealt with everything but having to wait for 3 1/2 was ridiculous!
Great couldn't have been better!!!! This was a great Birthday dinner! Will definitely come back. Everything was absolutely amazing!
I love the melting pot. The food is delicious and if you share a 4 course with someone, the prices even out. The only thing I did not like about the El Paso TX location is that the restaurant is too open, too loud and more like a sports bar environment rather than a nice restaurant. I would have given a 5 star if the restaurant had a better layout with more quiet tables.
