Leading Nantucket’s thriving restaurant scene, The Nautilus (est. 2014) is an island staple built on the idea of a shared social experience. Founders Liam Mackey (food), Clinton Terry (drink) & Stephen Bowler’s (wine & business) island-mentality of being “serious about what we do, but not taking ourselves too seriously” perfectly sums up The Nautilus experience. We had a lovely meal here last night. Our table split the duck and honestly 2 people could’ve easily eaten the whole thing if we didn’t get apps but it was enough for the 3 of us with 3 apps. The duck was cooked perfectly and the riblets app was excellent. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars for service is because I called at least 4 times throughout the week regarding our reservation and no one answered or returned my call. I was able to get in contact with someone via the open tables app but the communication was spotty. During our dinner the server was wonderful and attentive. It was also VERY loud and they had house music blasting the whole time, while I think that’s a good choice for a club, it didn’t give the feel of intimate dining we were hoping for. Highly recommend coming. Just be prepared for the loud atmosphere!! Would definitely return and try other dishes. Wished they had dessert though!!!

The food is very good for Nantucket. The atmosphere is energetic but the noise level is too loud. Very difficult to have a conversation with people screaming and music going. Not the most relaxing place to eat but fun for a quick drink and bite.

Always a treat to visit Nautilus when on island. The Peking Duck is a must have. Our guests were licking the bowl at the end of the night.

Been here before and enjoyed it but this time the food was unfortunately quite poor. Had several courses and none were very good. Some we couldn’t even eat.

What a wonderful meal! If you can get a reservation GO! And if have to sit at the bar! And the must have dish the Blue Crab Fried Rice - oh my goodness delicious and unique and every bite fabulous. Lots of other great small plates - the pork belly buns yum! Great service that makes you feel glad you came and comfortable. Simply an all around wonderful experience.

Without a doubt, Nautilus is always a treat. The menu changes with the season and classic favorites always remain. And the crew is always so welcoming. Thank you for another phenomenal meal.

What an incredible experience, now we know why reservations open a week in advance, and fill up in minutes. We had a 7:45 reservation, the staff let us know it would be a few minutes and invited us to get a cocktail at the bar. A staff member immediately greeted us by the bar, went over the drink menu and took our order. They had a table that squatted for almost 3 hours, but they cleared some space for them in a different section and moved them. We were sat about 30 minutes after our reservation time, but we did not care. The staff bought us our next round, which they did not have to do, but was very generous. We preordered the Duck upon arriving, and when I sat it was one of the top meals we have ever had, I am underselling it. We also had the blue crab fried rice, which was also incredible. If you can get a reservation do so, you will not regret dining here!
