This is my third trip here and again it did not disappoint. A much needed better quality offering for this region, Arlo restaurant delivers an interesting and delicious menu. It is presented beautifully by friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff. We had Sardines with aioli and halloumi with pears to start followed by duck confit and braised beef cheeks. We finished with Basque cheesecake and manchego cheese. All offerings were excellent. The fact that the restaurant was busy on a Wednesday night speaks volumes.

Our recent visit to Oaks Ranch was most enjoyable. The food, staff, atmosphere and venue were excellent, like normal. We have visited Oaks Ranch for several special occasions and look forward to returning again in the future. We highly recommend Oaks Ranch to others looking for somewhere special to dine. Special thanks to Josh, Ange, the Oaks Ranch Chef and staff for another memorable visit. We will be back!

This is really not a romantic venue. Tables are too close and allow for loud conversations on other tables to drown out your own. The welcome was very good and we felt very at ease at first but as the restaurant got busier the service became less personal and erratic. Whilst entrees arrived in a timely manner with water and our wine glasses always being refilled promptly. The main fish course was served to one of us and then we were left waiting for at least 10 minutes and had to ask for the other fish course to be served asap. It came but not promptly and with the wrong side dish. All in all we were a bit disappointed on our anniversary dinner.

We have visited many times, but this time left feeling very disappointed. Small plates were fine , large plates a huge let down. Lamb shoulder arrived at our table stone cold , and was presented in a small rounded portion similar to a portion of pet food . Confit duck was at least like warm, average presentation and taste. For the prices charged, a huge disappointment. Service as always was wonderful, the only saving grace to a night which was supposed to be a celebration. We left feeling extremely let down and a tad hungry. Won’t return for special celebrations, The Punt House food wins hands down .
