The Ship in at Conyer is a contemporary pub, eating house and functions venue on nestled between Faversham and Sittingbourne on the Kent coast.

A warm welcome awaits you here at the Ship Inn, Conyer. This famous 18th Century freehouse – previously known as The Ship Inn and Smugglers Restaurant – has been completely renovated and extended to offer just the right atmosphere you would want and expect in a quality pub & eating house. Not only will the roaring fire, comfy armchairs, and wide choice of cask ales attract those wanting an enjoyable pint but the pub is also offering a traditional menu using locally sourced produce. During the summer months the courtyard and garden is open offering panoramic views of the creek, marina and marshes across to the Swale.

                                                                              My daughter lives in Sittingbourne, we live near Dover. Just before Christmas, usually the Sunday before we have a get together and present exchange. This year was slightly different as we now have a little dog. My daughter chose the venue as it was dog friendly .... it was: our dogs behaved it was ours first Christmas so we were slightly worried ... we needn’ Have been! Food was lovely and we all enjoyed it very much ... it will definitely be on the short list for next year and probably some other times during the year .... thanks to all the staff for making it so ... 4 happy customers, 2 happy dogs.

                                                                              Fantastic food. Fantastic staff. So accommodating. Cosy warm atmosphere with the log fire and Christmas tree. Beautiful.

                                                                              Our first visit to the Ship and we were not disappointed.The pub has a lovely feel which you notice as soon as you walk in.The open fire added to the overall feel.We went with friends and everyone said they would return for another meal.The main event,”The Food” was outstanding!

                                                                              Have been a few times and never been disappointed, but this time was quite poor. We were told to sit at a dirty table, which was never cleaned, waited half an hour before anyone took our drink order, then our starter turned up before our drinks did, It didn’t appear to be very busy, but the whole atmosphere felt chaotic, the one lovely waiter was pulled in 50 different directions it’s no surprise he couldn’t keep up with everything. The lady behind the bar was quite blunt and seemed put out that we had booked a table online instead of over the phone. Not a great experience overall.

                                                                              walk and lunch with family. we walked from Harty Ferrry to Conyer and were glad of a nice lunch at the end of it!!

                                                                              It was our first visit to The Ship after finding it through Open Table...it was only a 20min drive from where we live and we never knew it existed! Amazing food, will definitely return. As I was ordering I was already picking out what I’ll have next time we go and arranging a family meal out as well. Well worth a visit.

                                                                              Delicious food, nicely cooked to order and delivered by friendly, engaged staff. The menu is varied and has something for everyone, with traditional favourites and more contemporary offerings too. Well worth a visit.
