   Food was ok to good. We were not impressed with the wine we had. Always interesting to use the new wine Apps and see the real value of what you are drinking. The £19 Malbec we had was actually worth less than £5, and tasted as such. A big disappointment. Otherwise a pleasant Sunday lunch. Service was very slow.

   Excellent menu and friendly atmosphere particularly good for sunday lunches. They have recently expanded the number of tables so booking is not normally an issue. Best yorkshire pud in Hertfordshire

   We've been a few times and have always enjoyed the food . Always good service and a lovely atmosphere.

   We were in a hurry so didn't get time to appreciate the food but we were served quickly, all staff were very helpful and food was lovely.

   The staff was very friendly, the food was just superb, compliments to the chef. Great meal out for a ladies birthday celebration. All 5 of us were impressed. Can thoroughly recommend this place.

   its our local so we enjoy the pub and the people. the food is a little hit and miss. love it for drinking but not for food. next time I will stick to small eats.

   We had a birthday celebration meal with family on a Sunday afternoon. The food was generally of a good standard however it would be benefited from using fresh chips rather than oven chips (had fish and chips) Service was friendly but a little slow.

   Booked a table for 7 people, drinks service was really good but waitress didn't know what beers was sold. We all ordered a Sunday roast and then waited for at least 45 minutes. The meals are ladies size, with the beef we had 2 slices of beef each, the pork was fatty and the crackly was rubbery, the chicken was dry and over cooked as was the roast potatoes. No taste really. We then ordered dessert which we also waited about 40 minutes for. The pub wasn't busy so don't know what the delay was. Desserts where lovely but on a whole I wouldn't recommend it there

    I always find the food a taste sensation in particular chefs jus that is served with roast dinner. I consider myself very fussy when it comes to,my food but have never found a reason to complain and have eaten here several times now. Keep it up. Have recommended the place to many. The Wedding Anniversary and Birthday vouchers you email out are a very nice touch, good customer service is always so nice. Thanks. Sylvia Urbanowski
