   I was hesitant to follow through with this reservation due to a number of bad reviews... but I did follow through and dinner was fantastic. Service was impeccable. The ambiance was fantastic. An they had jazz playing in the background... very nice indeed. I had the burger and fries with a deviled egg appetizer and my date had the simple spaghetti. All was prepared well and we brought a bit home with us. Very nice and I plan to go back again.

   Quick seating, service was not good. Had to constantly ask for refills, 6 out of the 12 people in our group had to send items back to the kitchen. Did not feel like our group was wanted. Will not be back.

   -Over cooked crab dip to start -Chips tasted very stale and as if they had been under a heater for hours, same as crab dip -Spaghetti was room temperature, no garlic bread rolls and dip as indicated on menu; 2 rolls provided were freezer rolls and were still cold on inside and came with wrapped butter as if we were at a cafeteria -Overall experience was poor -Haven't heard ANY good reviews on this place yet but thought we would try to see if things had turned around -Don't plan to return

   They reduced their menu to just a very few offerings. One can only assume that they won't be in business that much longer. This was a good restaurant at one time. Not any more. Look for a "For Sale" sooner than later.

   The menu needs to be more special. The restaurant could be great but the menu and wine list definitely need to be worked on. The server was very nice but knew very little about the wine list. The interior was designed well.

   Despite my reservation, we got to the restaurant and found a sign on the door that said it was closed Mondays in January. Wasted trip.

   I cannot recommend a restaurant that: presents a wine list with only 2 reds listed, then notifies the diner that they are out of red (at 7:15 on a Saturday evening; takes 15 minutes to prepare a simple mixed drink; permits an expletive-filled argument among staff to be heard in the dining area; and, finally presents a simple appetizer order just a few minutes ahead of presenting the entrees. Food was competently prepared but nothing to write about, and the overall experience was dismal.

   We were placed in temporary seating with outdoor table(indoors) with a cloth. Candle kept rocking into center of table opening. The menu was limited. Our server was overloaded with tables. The sea bass was good but a very small portion. My drink was in a plastic cup.

    Thinking of going to The W on Elm? Think again....Our friend says, "I think The W stands for WTF." Overcooked food served cold, smoke billowing from the kitchen (we all smell like scorched food), anemic excuse for a bar, inexperienced staff, forgotten sides and drinks, incorrect overcharges on checks, forty minutes to correct mistakes on checks, filthy men's room....need I go on?
