The Wednesday Room
The Stone Bowls are excellent.
Overall great experience, would do it again!
Burger was amazing. Service was excellent.
For a place that is SO hard to get into, it was half empty when we left at 7:30 on Saturday night and that took away a bit of the appeal. I had the scallops and BBQ glazed pork belly which was PHENOMENAL. My partner at the Waygu beef entree which wasn't bad but it was WAY under-seasoned and therefore quite underwhelming. Service and decor/atmosphere were lovely.
Loved our visit to The Wednesday Room. Food was excellent, we had the popcorn & chicken for sharing to start. Both were simple but done to perfection. I had the wagyu burger & my wife had the gnocchi. Both were sensationally good courses. My only complaint on the burger was the bun was a little too heavy and thus I didn't finish it all. The burger meat, was as you'd expect from wagyu, tender, flavoursome & delicious. Atmosphere was great, lots of people sitting out in the sun & good vibe. The decor is beautiful inside & the staff were really friendly & helpful. Highly recommended for Calgary.
Our server Chloe was absolutely amazing, it was our second time here and we decided to let her and the kitchen decide our meal. From the cauliflower to the bao, each bite was past anything we could have expected.
Thank you so much for another incredible evening!
Can’t wait to be back with friends and family for another unforgettable meal/experience.
The food was OK, not fantastic. Also, I had to send a martini back because it didn’t taste right at all. The 2nd came in a smaller glass and I was charged for both of the drinks. So basically, 1 1/2 martinis cost me over $20. Ouch.
Great drinks. Great decore.
Service was fantastic, happy hour specials where good too. The new menus was fair.
The food was creative, delicious and appealed to all 5 of us. We especially found our server to be excellent. She was attentive, well informed and very pleasant. Thank you.
Good apps and drinks! Will be back to try some of the other dinner options !!!
Upon arriving we were really quickly seated and had water and a bottle of wine/food within 15 min of ordering everything. Our server chose an amazing red for us to enjoy with the fried chicken, ricotta toast, carpaccio , and the dirty fries.
The food was on point and after mentioning I work as a chef myself, our server allowed me to go in to the back and shake the chefs hand and give him my compliments.
All in all one of the best Dining experiences I’ve had in Calgary to date. We are definitely going to be back for more and I can’t wait to try the rest of their menu!!
Thank you so much for such a great evening!!
Definitely a perfect spot to share plates with friends or on a night where you don't really know what you want so you pick a dish or two and keep the evening going from there...
Three people and we ordered 6 “sharing” plates: chicken, hummus, cauliflower, wagon beef, beets, dirty fries. Loved all except Cauliflower, and hummus; personal preferences! Service was excellent.
It is a great spot for a date and also for friends. 😊
The Wednesday room is a fantastic cocktail lounge to enjoy with a smaller group. 2 thumbs up for food. Appetizers and shareable plates were absolutely delicious!! Service was prompt. Atmosphere = upscale chill with warm ambience. I will definitely be back!
Wonderful we will be back soon 👌🏼
First time here for lunch. We were seated in the lower level, and it was a quiet day, so not a lot of ambience. Our server did a very good job. The food was good, not memorable, but was good value for the price.
So all was good, but I prefer this place after work or in the evening when it shines.
Family time ... celebrating life and living each day and every moment to the fullest!
I absolutely love this place! I wouldn't change a thing about any of my experiences. Fabulous.
Amazing food, great cocktails! They were out of a few things but the server made some good recommendations to replace the drinks they couldn't make. I plan to go back asap.
My wife and i were looking forward to goomg to a 60's decor restaurant, so we thought we should at least pretend to look like it!.. So we did ;) ....but no body else was and not even the staff...so we go a few looks , but we were comfortable feeling from the 60's haha. The food was absolutely bursting with flavors , but very very small portions especially the snacks or small share sizes so be prepared $$... Mixed drinks were $$$ beers $ ...but overall the service, ambience and food amazing!! Definitely would go back or recommend!
Thanks for having us
Our server Casey was so much fun. We had a wonderful visit. Great vibe.
Server was very polite and welcoming. We ordered two appetizers and it took a bit of time for them to come out but drinks were quick and when the food came out it was good. Restaurant wasn’t very busy so waiting for the food was annoying but ambience was good.
We had a great night and the chef sent us a delicious Carpaccio. Thank you!
It was a perfect way to spend my birthday with the girls.
Fun spot with a mad men vibe in the basement. Have been before and will go again.
Great food, great service and beautiful ambience
Food was outstanding! Large group, including speeches, really impacted the ambience. Such events should be held in a private room - noise level was high.
What fun place. Great vibe. We had the whipped guacamole and plantain chips and truffle fries. Drinks were delicious as well.
Really great atmosphere for lunch. Could have a conversation with my client, the music was great (70's), and the food was awesome. Would love to experience Wednesday Room for cocktails after work. Seems like great vibe with some interesting drinks on the menu.
The food was quite good but the tables are close and the restaurant was freezing cold! The tables are quite small for ordering several small plates and sharing. When we arrived everyone was seated in one side of the restaurant- handy for the servers but not very good for a quiet conversation.
Ambiance and service were excellent. So we’re the cocktails. The squash fondant dish was TERRIBLE and the truffle fries were really pretty average. The fried olives on hummus were amazing.
The ambience was the best part, so cool with a great cocktail menu and wine selection. I wasn't jazzed by the selection and large portion of main dishes, so filled up on the yummy sharable and tapas style dishes. I would totally go again.
We arrived during happy hour. Nice 60s vibe, including the music. Food was tasty and they were very accommodating for gluten sensitivity. Likely to return.
Definitely get the salmon tartare.
Nice, cosy dining area, good atmosphere, not too noisy. Pleasant dining experience. Wished the ambiental temperature was warmer.
Love the 60's/70's decor, especially the stone wall downstairs and carpeting from the movie, The Shining.
Love the chicken appetizer's and the truffle fries. It's so nice to find a place where you can have a conversation with people and you don't have to yell. Some 60's Beatles trivia would be a welcome touch!!
A really cool spot, and perhaps will try again in the future to give it one more try. But the service was horrible this visit, which is a shame given the uniqueness of the space.
Great food and drinks!
