    Great ambience. Party of 6. All thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Comfortable high backed chairs and a round table. Perfect. Good food and wine. Pleasant staff.

    We booked using open table and had a confirmation email but when we arrived, they were not aware of our booking. No problem, we were asked to take a seat in the bar to have a drink whilst they got a table ready. I cheekily asked if the drinks would be on the house and the manger kindly said yes! We got our table about 20 minutes later. We ordered our food and drinks promptly and the drinks arrived quickly. Unfortunately, our food was very slow to come out of the kitchen. Unasked one of the servers to check after 45 minutes. We got our food shortly after and the quality was good. The servers were all very young but very polite. I was impressed by the gentleman who I assumed was the manager, he took all of our drinks off the bill which was appreciated. I thought the location was really lovely, not sure if I’ll hurry back but overall I would recommend.

    Cannot recommend the Whichcote Arms highly enough. Easily the best rump beef I have ever eaten! Charming staff, light and spacious dining room, and relaxed atmosphere. Everyone loved their meals and the service was extremely efficient (which even satisfied my highly demanding 12 year old). It feels like it has been recently redecorated and done so beautifully. We will definitely be back!!
