   Wilks bar is a lovely place to go for lunch. But I will say I was disappointed overall. We ordered a bread and dip as a starter, which came at the same time as our meals. The breads were served in a mortar bowl, half fell out when I lifted a breadstick to get the very little bowl of dip. For $22! I had the mushroom soup and beet salad. They were okay. Beet salad was sitting on something creamy pink that I didn’t enjoy, but the beets were nice. Mushroom soup was good but a bit salty. My husband had the cod, with 5 ‘chubby chips’. He said the batter was a bit overdone, but still good. The fish was reasonable but my items were expensive for what they were. The servers didn’t bring a soup spoon until I asked and quite frankly seemed awkward. I wanted to love it, but not this time.

   It was ok. Waiters kept checking to see if plates were done and would take them away without even asking or saying anything. Dinner felt rushed for what we paid. The bar prices were very high especially the drinks

   The staff was good and the location is nice but was too cold once the sun went down in March. The Pork Neck was excellent but the Pasta which was gluten free at our request was extremely chewy. The desserts were both very poor both in taste and texture so I could not recommend either of the Chocolate or the Apple crumble.

   We have visited Langdon Hall many times and were married there almost 20 years ago. The atmosphere in the historic building is magical for us. This time we visited to celebrate my wife's birthday with our daughters. We had a number of different items from the menu and they were all excellent. The mushroom soup should not be overlooked. The service was fantastic and friendly as always. We had a great time and lots of laughs.

   Loved our evening at Wilk's! Staff were fantastic. Food was delicious. Musical guest (CJ Cooper) created a great added ambience to our night out. We will be back!

   The pork neck entree was absolutely delicious. We also had the Gruyère and deviled eggs starters. Top notch all around. An experience like no other we have had. The live music was enjoyable and the service was a delight.

    Went for my birthday dinner and the food and service was fantastic! Had the burger and it was honestly the best I've ever had. The atmosphere was cozy with the wood burning fireplaces. The wine (bottle) list was extensive, I went for by the glass and the red I chose was smooth. My boyfriend got an old fashioned and he thought it was great as well. We will definitely be going back the next time we are out that way
