Great staff. Amazing service. Thank you. Food was alright. But honestly, great staff makes me want to return someday. Maybe i didn’t order the right thing. The shrimp scampi needed salt

Unfortunately we are still going through the ups and downs of being a new restaurant, we welcome you to come back and check out some of our other items. Spoiler alert: We won't be going back. Why would we when we're not greeted with a "Welcome to Zak's, how many?" but instead with a cold, "Three?" That's no way to make a patron feel appreciated, especially when this restaurant is supposedly celebrating its recent grand opening. Then after ordering, we learn that they were out of trout, the only entree that appealed when reading the online menu. When the server saw my disappointment, she said, "We also have salmon. The trout tastes a lot like the salmon." And that's a good thing? If that's a selling point at Zak's, then Lord knows how bad it would be. We didn't stick around to find out. Bye bye.

Food was greasy, our order was wrong, service was nice but perhaps understaffed could not get a waiter and waiter would forget what we asked for.

This was an interesting experience. Our waitress was crazy stressed out and overwhelmed and There were only 2 other coulples present while we were there. The dining host yelled across the room at us most of the evening about being so tired and overworked (there were 3 couples in house). We waited at least 20mins before our order was finally placed, and about 10-15mins to receive it. I think the owner delivered our plates to the table he was very charming and the most professional member of his staff. OH! My friend ordered a Spicy Mule, it was delivered to our table and the bartender forgot to add the daggon liquor. I may try them again hoping this was an off night, but I can’t say I’m looking forward to it or that I’ll be rushing back. Food was decent. Overall it was a very side of the road truck stop diner experience for me.

Ok... So here is the thing, You can tell they are new and still trying to work out the kinks and adjusting to opening during a pandemic. The host was lovely, and our waitress was as well. They sat us right away. We went for brunch on the weekend, the waitress didn't know a drink i wanted but that's ok they have bottomless mimosa and she was great and keeping them coming! The food was pretty standard breakfast food, my friends was overcooked but they offered her a small discount. They have potential and I'm hoping they can make it work!

Thank you for giving us a try while we are still ironing out the wrinkles of opening a new restaurant during a pandemic. Our staff strives to ensure the best of service to all of our guests with the unique Zak family personality. We will be releasing our official updated menu which will include extensive retraining of the kitchen for proper preparations of the new changes!

Awful. I never leave bad reviews too. It took forever to get seated and take our order. Food took sooo long to come out. One dish was in edible. Drinks were bad. Took about 2.5 hours from arriving to get our food.. we had a reservation too. Garbage restaurant.

My boyfriend and I came to Zak’s because it was the only restaurant on Valentine’s Day that wasn’t fully booked... and for good reason. The hostess was kind, but even with a reservation, it didn’t seem like she expected us coming as she was looking around to figure out where to seat us. She finally found a spot they had just cleaned, gave us menus and came back with silverware and napkins, and the drink menu I had asked for. She came back with 2 chocolate covered strawberries which I thought was nice. We were in a section where it seemed like there was only one waitress for that whole section. I saw the waitress go back and forth to each table in that section besides ours. She glanced at me and our table, but never said a word. No one ever came up to us to greet us or even get drinks started. We waited for 30 minutes, yet no one ever came up to us. We clearly hadn’t ordered yet because we still had menus out and no drinks. Let alone the couple next to us also looked aggravated by the lack of service. I understand it was Valentine’s Day, but not even a single greeting in 30 mins? Please do better. We ended up leaving without ordering. This created a bad first-time experience for us, which we’ll most likely not return to this restaurant.

We are deeply, deeply apologetic. We open in November and with the stay-at-home orders haven't been able to consistently train our staff properly. This restaurant is by far the worst of all the dining experiences my wife and I had. I should have known better. After paying almost 100 dollars for the food, because I did not want anyone to get fired or put on a leave of absence. It's hard times we all are experiencing these days, so I thought the right thing to do was to “PAY THE BILL” and not argue. But needless to say, I will not be going back to this establishment.

Not prepared for customers. We ordered at 6:45 and finally got our dinner at 9:15. Luckily we had good company,wine and a few appetizers to keep us busy. Unfortunately, our daughters had terrible service and when their food finally arrived after waiting 2 hours, it was cold. Their server also did not provide utensils to eat the cold food when it arrived. We had to go to the kitchen and ask for forks. They said they needed to wash them! Our good was great and fortunately, our entrees were comped and we only paid for the drinks and our daughters cold food. As the food was good, I’d recommend waiting to go here until the new ownership figures out scheduling and hires good wait staff.

Thank you for holding us accountable, unfortunately we were not expecting such high volumes of customers at all hours throughout the day. We were unprepared and have planned to ensure we will be fully staffed on event holidays such as Valentine's Day. We hope you will consider joining us again, happy hour is a great time to dine. We have drink & appetizer specials, the kitchen follows protocol to send out appetizers before full entrees.
