Then after ordering, we learn that they were out of trout, the only entree that appealed when reading the online menu. When the server saw my disappointment, she said, \"We also have salmon. The trout tastes a lot like the salmon.\" And that's a good thing? If that's a selling point at Zak's, then Lord knows how bad it would be. We didn't stick around to find out. Our waitress was crazy stressed out and overwhelmed and There were only 2 other coulples present while we were there. The dining host yelled across the room at us most of the evening about being so tired and overworked (there were 3 couples in house). I think the owner delivered our plates to the table he was very charming and the most professional member of his staff. OH! My friend ordered a Spicy Mule, it was delivered to our table and the bartender forgot to add the daggon liquor. I may try them again hoping this was an off night, but I can’t say I’m looking forward to it or that I’ll be rushing back. Food was decent. The food was pretty standard breakfast food, my friends was overcooked but they offered her a small discount. She came back with 2 chocolate covered strawberries which I thought was nice.\n\nWe were in a section where it seemed like there was only one waitress for that whole section. I saw the waitress go back and forth to each table in that section besides ours. She glanced at me and our table, but never said a word. No one ever came up to us to greet us or even get drinks started. We waited for 30 minutes, yet no one ever came up to us. We clearly hadn’t ordered yet because we still had menus out and no drinks. \n\nLet alone the couple next to us also looked aggravated by the lack of service. I understand it was Valentine’s Day, but not even a single greeting in 30 mins? Please do better. We ended up leaving without ordering. We ordered at 6:45 and finally got our dinner at 9:15. Luckily we had good company,wine and a few appetizers to keep us busy. Unfortunately, our daughters had terrible service and when their food finally arrived after waiting 2 hours, it was cold. Their server also did not provide utensils to eat the cold food when it arrived. We had to go to the kitchen and ask for forks. They said they needed to wash them! Our good was great and fortunately, our entrees were comped and we only paid for the drinks and our daughters cold food.
