The grilled Omi Beef is the highlight but it was downhill from there. The other dishes are fine, but in their push for differentiating the preparations felt forced and the flavours were largely a disappointment. For example Omi Beef + Blue Fin + caviar should knock it out of the park but in this instance the sum was far less than the parts.

Food was spectacular. Service was great. It’s expensive, but well worth it! Best wagyu and my family has been talking about it for days.

This was not a steakhouse. This was a dining event, an experience. Hands down the best steak I have ever had. Ever. The family asked for Kobe beef & this was the tops. Seating is limited for an intimate experience so reservations is a must. There are two seating a night. One at 5:30 and one at 8 pm. When it says number 5 steak chef in the world, I was skeptical but the meal lived up to the hype. They begin with a history & rating of the female cow/beef they are preparing. That was a little too much for me but out of respect for the animal, I see how it can be appreciated & shows the care & time that went into the meal from the very beginning. The 9 course meal is prefix, though you can tell them if you have any food allergies ahead of time. They send a welcoming & informative email a few days before your reservation. Service was the absolute best. It was counter seating & awesome to watch all the magic. The staff effortlessly worked together & looked like they were having fun too. There is a semi private room for those with littles. There was an explanation of each course to each of the dining groups. I am a big question asker & they answered every on...in depth & great conversation. They made the meal personal. The food...each course had mouth watering food, layers of unique flavors, perfectly cooked & seasoned Kobe, & they were a work of art! Every single course. Generous portions & I was so full at the end. I regretfully couldn't finish the last two courses. I should've powered through. They even give you a parting gift at the end of the meal...an extra take home course. Even the rice was amazing & it was white rice! When someone says it melts in your mouth, now I know what that meals. The intertwining flavors just melt over your tongue & each one pairs well to create a magic explosion of yumminess. This meal was an experience my family will remember & talk about forever. So glad we did this. You could add this to your foodie bucket list! It is spendy but worth

Food was excellent, truly different class experience. We opted for the 4 glass drinks pairing, reasonably priced and went well with the plates. Hospitality also great, Josh and Bailey super friendly and built the experience. Song playlist was a bit rogue, I think a more carefully selected soundtrack or ambient noise would just elevate the experience and make the operation more professional - in my opinion. Overall, a unique and delicious experience, I would recommend.

This was one of the best meals I have ever had and is a must visit when in Tokyo. The food was incredible. The staff amazing. The presentation impeccable. How this place doesn’t have a Michelin star is beyond me.

Found this restaurant on YouTube and wanted to try. 8:30pm Time Slot. Finished close to midnight. 13 courses. Nice atmosphere. Our host, Bailey, did an excellent job explaining the dishes and interacting with the guests; not intrusive and just the right about of conversation. Tasty dishes. I got mine with paring of 4. TBH, I couldn't finish the two slices of beef. I was already full by that time, and the beef was quite fatty. I liked the experience very much, especially the flambéing of the steaks. I was sitting right opposite, so could feel the intense heat. Nice bunch of people. A unique experience.

This place was interesting. I saw rave reviews by a lot of people, so I was obviously very excited. We booked the VIP private table, which turned out to be a bad decision. We paid more to be in a room, that basically excluded us from all of the action. We could not really see what was going on, and of course, the staff tried hard to bring the action to us, but it was a letdown. Unless you just don’t wanna be around other people, and you’re willing to sacrifice the overall experience for it, I don’t recommend these private rooms. Not The Restaurant’s fault, but my fault. The staff was first class. Everyone was kind, spoke English, went out of their way to make us happy. The ambience was cool overall, but once again the people sitting around the table, we’re having more fun than I was. The food was the biggest shock here. It just wasn’t that great. Yes, of course the steak tasted great, but honestly, they didn’t give us very much of it at all. And they gave us a little bit of a “seconds” which ended up being just a couple bites. The rest of it was a bunch of tiny plates that were underwhelming to us. Their “signature” sandwich was bland, and lacked salt. My wife is a tiny person, and even she walked away from this dinner not full. Everything else was fine, but I don’t think it justified the $500 I spent for a couple. I had multiple dining experiences in Japan for half the price that were much better than this. Not trying to be a hater, but just wanna be honest. And when I go on vacation, I don’t care about spending money. I don’t even pay attention to it. But I also like getting my money’s worth. This whole thing just seemed much more of a hype than it was the real deal to me.
