Wir haben in Europa, Amerika, Australien und Asien schon in vielen Sternerestaurants gegessen. Deshalb haben wir uns für das Restaurant Maito in Panama entschieden. Es war die letzten 2 Jahre die Nr. 6 unter den 50 besten Restaurants in Lateinamerika 2024 war es Nr. 14 . Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht, sondern waren extrem positiv überrascht. Wir hatten das Degustations Menü mit 9 Gängen und einer Weinbegleitung . Es war eine absolute Geschmacksvielfalt, die wir nicht erwartet haben. Es war kein Gang dabei, der uns nicht begeistert hat. Die begleitenden „ Weine“ starteten mit einem speziellen Bier, es waren lokale Weine und internationale dabei , auch ein Rum . Alle Weine top temperiert. Falls ich wieder mal in Panama bin, werde ich in jedem Falle wieder hier essen gehen. Das Personal war erstklassig und erklärte uns jeden einzelnen Gang . Der Punktabzug für das Ambiente waren fehlende Tischdecken, laut Aussage ist dies seit der COVID Pandemie so, da viele Gäste sich die Hände an den Tischdecken gesäubert haben und deshalb von Regierungsseite verboten wurden

Sehr schönes Restaurant, Blick aufs Meer, Ambiente sehr italienisch. Perfekte Pasta . Preise etwas höher als in Panama üblich , aber es lohnt sich !!
