Down Home is a MICHELIN recommended farmhouse restaurant located in the beautiful country side of Grey Highlands. We welcome you to join us for an intimate evening exploring local producers, fall storage veggies, house ferments and foraged goods. Our ever-changing 10 course tasting menu changes with the offerings from our local farmers and the land. Our tasting menu is $175 per person.

As we move into the warmer months we will begin with our first course in the open fire kitchen and exploring the gardens, if its a warm night we will dine outside during the summer months. At times there is a communal table, please make a note if you would like to request a private table.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS: As our menus follow the seasons we kindly ask that vegetarians and pescatarians join us in the months were vegetables are abundant.
We are NOT able to accommodate:
- vegetarian and vegan
- dairy free
- gluten free
- preferences (likes/dislikes)

Short Turn: A vibey and narrow cocktail/snack bar from the folks who made 416 Snack Bar - just a short turn around the corner from the original.

Start with the coldest martini in the city, ideally paired with our excellent cheeseburger, and then then pick from the cocktail list or ask a bartender for something bespoke to your tastes. Happy hour from 5-7pm daily features the whole list at ten bucks a pop!

The space was designed to conjure up train bars of a bygone time, on the streetcar ride home from downtown to the west end. A short turn is ordinarily the annoying experience of having your car re-routed, having to get off and transfer - here, you would step into an experience of unique hospitality, snacks and libation.

The Springwood can be summed up effectively as a neighborhood restaurant, whose values, regarding the menu, focus greatly on locally sourced ingredients, hyper-seasonality, regenerative farming practices and minimizing waste.

The restaurant is the brainchild of local entrepreneurs Matthew Simpson (Chef) and Jasmine Lee (General Manager). Partners in business and in life since 2007.

To further their knowledge of the Hospitality industry they made their way to Downtown Toronto, where they were able to hone their crafts working in upscale and well-known restaurants for nine years. The end goal was always assured though, that they would come back to the town that gave them their start and help bring a special space to the place that they grew up.

As you make your way inside, you will be met with warm wood, lush plant life and funky art deco accents. We want this space to feel as though you are stepping into our home and we welcome you all to Come Over for Dinner.
